Samantha watched the nanny walking up the stairs with a tray of food in her hand.
"Where are you going?" She asked as she walked up to the elderly woman who'd been working for her parents for the longest time she could remember.
"Samantha," the elderly woman called, a smile on her lips. "I'm taking breakfast to your sister. She's not been eating properly since…" She paused, not needing to finish her sentence. Her shoulders dropped in sadness.
Samantha sighed.
Their nanny had been the one taking care of them since she could remember. The woman had more presence in their life compared to their parents combined. She was worried about Verena. Since their mother locked her up in her room, she barely ate.
"Did she eat her dinner last night?" She asked.
