[3rd POV]
After a hug that rapidly began to get a bit awkward, the family had moved inside. Mostly because it was lunch time, and they were all starving. That, and the rest of the family had already confirmed that they would be on their way soon.
So, currently the "Kids" (Billie and Haley didn't really count anymore), were sitting on the couch, watching tv while Phil and Claire were whispering in the back to one another, trying to be quiet so that they were not caught or noticed.
"Are we really about to let her move out, Phil? I mean...I know I said I was okay with it, but saying something and actually doing something is a huge difference" Claire whispered to her husband, as he sighed.
"Honey, we both know that Haley is just as determined as you are when you want to do something. Some would even say you are stubborn, but either way, neither of you want to give up, not ever. And your daughter is not going to give up on this" Phil said, as Claire let out a sigh.
"Honey, her girlfriend spent over one hundred thousand dollars on her in Paris, hell, she brought her to Paris! If that isn't an indication that their relationship is...special, than I don't know what is" Phil whispered to his wife, as she silently listened.
"I think the best thing we can do right now, for our sake, and for Haley's, is to trust in her for once. To not doubt her and actually believe she can do this on her own. We never even thought she would move out, and look where she is. Moving in with a girl that is basically a billionaire, and already richer than us herself" Phil finished, still whispering to the best of his ability.
Claire silently stared at her husband, wondering where the hell that came from, and when he had gotten so well spoken and...smart?
"Wh...Why was that kind of hot?" Claire asked, as Phil blinked in surprise at her words, before grinning.
"That's just my natural charm baby" Phil replied with a smirk, while the Luke who was heading towards the kitchen to grab some juice, cringed.
"EW! Old people flirting is so gross, especially when it's my parents!" Luke cringed, as he ran and snatched a bottle of orange juice and ran off before they could continue to do...whatever the hell that was.
Phil and Claire both ignored his words, and continued their whisper flirting.
"Do you think they realize that we heard basically everything that they had said? Even the really gross stuff I never want to think about again?" Alex asked, cringing openly as she had heard their words.
She had good hearing, as did Haley and Billie.
"I doubt it, because if they did they would not still be flirting like they are" Billie replied with her own uncomfortable expression on her face, while Haley openly let out a fake gag.
"Blargh please, don't speak on whatever the hell that was, never again. I have seen and heard...way too much from either of them" Haley said, shivering as she remembered some...moments that she really wished she didn't remember.
Curse her good memory.
And curse her parents for not locking their doors nearly as much as they should have.
"So....anyways, when are you going to come by again Alex?" Billie asked, deciding to change the subject as the girl looked surprised at her words. She had been waiting for her to come by her apartment for a while now, but she never did.
"Come by? I thought we were just practicing for a short while to help Haley?" Alex said in response, eyebrows furrowed. She was under the impression that it was a momentary thing, and not some long lasting agreement or anything like that.
"Well originally that was the case, but after hearing you, I'm pretty confident that you have the same talent as your sister. And while the type of music might be aesthetically a bit different, you are definitely more than capable of being a musician" Billie replied with a small smile, knowing that Alex had some serious self esteem issues.
Mostly born out of her parents and the fact that they...well, kind of neglect the shit out of her. This was mostly because they always had been expecting her to be capable of doing everything on her own, since she was so much more intelligent than all of them.
Only to forget the fact that she is quite literally a child, and regardless of how intelligent she may be, she still needs the love and affection of a parent, just like any other child.
Billie already decided she would be speaking to them about this soon, probably after the holidays.
"R-Really? You think I can actually be a musician?" Alex asked breathlessly, eyes wide.
"Yep, I swear I said it before. Haley and I even wrote out a few songs that we think you could be a great fit for. And I even think you might be the perfect fit as a feature for a couple of my singles that I am planning on doing" Billie said with a nod, as Haley agreed at the side.
"I was actually going to ask about getting you to help me with that too. And in return you'd get a cut of the profits, so you could use that to cover your college funds or whatever else you might want to do" Haley added, knowing that her music could make Alex hundreds of thousands of dollars.
More than enough for college, a car, and even a house mattering on the song and how big it became. And knowing how popular her and Billie were, it'd be enough.
"I-I don't know what to say" Alex said, struggling to put her emotions into words as Billie smiled.
"You don't have to say anything, Alex. You just need to know that you are talented, far beyond what you even realize, and you shouldn't look down on yourself just because others do" Billie said, with even Luke chiming in.
"Yeah! The only person that can bully you is me!" Luke said with a grin, as Alex fought back the urge to cry, and instead let out a soft giggle at her brothers words.
"Thanks guys" Alex finally said, deciding not to say anything more, knowing that if she did, she might cry.
At the same time they were saying all of this, Claire and Phil were still flirting and teasing one another, not even knowing that their children (and Billie) just had a rather deep conversation with Alex.
They really needed to work on that.

The rest of the family had gotten there all at right about the same time, since Cam and Gloria both insisted on seeing the new car as one group. And boy, were they certainly seeing it together.
Gloria was actively squealing as she looked at the purple Ferrari. While Cam did his best to resist the urge to touch it, fearing that he might break something that is worth more than his apartment.
Jay just whistled in appreciation at the beauty, but quietly muttered that classics were still better.
Mitchell was pretty openly jealous over the car, as it turns out he was a huge fan of Ferrari's and another super car brand, Pagani. He knew he would never own one because of the price, but he just loved the way that they looked.
He thought they were sleek and sexy.
Manny was of the same thought, mostly because he loved art, and the Ferrari was a work of art in and of itself.
All the while, Alex was watching her family bicker over the new car and who got to be shotgun first, and couldn't help but smile. Only one thought on her mind.
'My family is so weird'
