Chapter 11: Tempering
Dax whistled a single, soft note that vanished into the endless echo
He opened one of the doors guiding himself through it. On the sound of his voice passing through the room was illuminated presenting the image of diagrams of strange entities labelled by parts.
In the center of the room was a table scattered with notes and a squirming creature that was still alive bound on all limbs in a glass container it screamed but no sound followed.
With familiarity he walked behind the desk automatically the chair moved on it own accord creating a gap for Dax to seat which he did.
What is all this? What is this man? What is that thing in the bottle? Many questions flooded Micha's mind leaving him frozen at the door.
"Come and take a seat, or do you wish to continue standing there?" Dax's voice broke the silence, calm and measured, carrying the weight of absolute authority.
