"No... no... no..." Duke Gu staggered to his feet as he crawled close to the door. "I can't end like this... it can't end like this... no..." He smashed his fist against the door but it only backfired.
He fell hard on his back again as he turned and stared at Ren. He was still there, casting his spell. This time the room was collapsing. In a few minutes, nothing was going to survive.
"You..." Duke Gu got out a dagger from his side and glared at Ren. "It's all your doing...!" He threw the dagger at Ren who was sitting there.
But the dagger boomeranged its way back towards Duke Gu. The magical artifact—the dagger—pierced him right through the chest, and blood dripped wildly from his mouth and chest.
Duke Gu gasped, staggering backwards before he went down on his knees. His chest was covered in blood, and blood dripped from his mouth rapidly.
