Chapter 304 - GAM Ch 304: Dumbledore's Free Loader Era Begins

The two names, "Rat Manor" and "Angel in the Mortal Realm", felt a bit incompatible. After careful consideration, Garfield decided to keep the Leaky Cauldron as it was.

"The basic layout of the bar remains unchanged. After all, it's not a high-end luxury hotel."

"But the guest rooms upstairs can be improved, made more spacious, and protected with some security spells. The rooms should also have different levels. Special rooms are needed for special times."

Dumbledore's eyes flickered. He realized that his own thinking was sometimes a bit rigid, not as flexible as Garfield's. He couldn't help but praise him.

"Garfield, you are truly wise!"

Garfield hated that word.

He glared at Dumbledore and said fiercely, "Don't use that word to describe me! You can praise me as clever, cute, kind, strategic, and decisive, but never wise."

Dumbledore naturally didn't understand the joke about "wise." He asked blankly, "Why?"

Garfield. "Don't ask why. Just know that I'm giving you free meals."

"Also, if you marry McGonagall, I'll personally sponsor your wedding expenses, ten thousand Galleons."

McGonagall.

Because of Dumbledore, McGonagall's troubles had only compounded.

The woman who had once been deeply in love with him was now single again, having grown from a young and beautiful girl into an elderly woman in her fifties.

Dumbledore lamented that he could never repay his emotional debts.

His troublesome brother, Aberforth, was also currently single. It seemed the Dumbledore family was destined for extinction in this generation.

Dumbledore fell into deep worry. Garfield didn't disturb him. After all, the Dumbledore family's fate was their own doing.

But if they asked for his help, Garfield wouldn't mind lending a paw.

After dinner at the pub, Garfield conscripted Dumbledore to renovate the Leaky Cauldron. They closed the doors to prevent outside interference.

The renovation required magic and magical materials. Garfield provided sufficient funds.

Then he informed Dumbledore, "I'm going to see Frigga to discuss Hela. Old Bee, you and Old Tom get to work."

"Alright."

Dumbledore said no more.

Garfield's handling of Hela's matter was, in effect, helping him overcome the most difficult hurdle in cleaning up Grindelwald's mess.

In return, helping Garfield upgrade the pub for free was only reasonable.

Dumbledore thought for a moment, then sent two round, faced, chubby Scottish owls to fetch Flitwick and McGonagall.

At this time, Flitwick was still a skilled wizard and hadn't yet entered Hogwarts as a professor.

Both Flitwick and McGonagall had a good relationship with Dumbledore.

When they entered and saw the new signboard of the Leaky Cauldron and the cat paw prints everywhere, they had a general idea of what was going on.

Flitwick. "Minister Dumbledore..."

McGonagall. "Dumbledore, what happened here?"

Dumbledore pointed to the sign inside the pub. "Old Tom sold the pub to Garfield for two hundred percent of its value."

"Garfield went to help us solve the Hela problem. Most importantly, he's offering me permanent free service from now on. If you put your work on my tab, I'm sure Garfield won't mind."

Dumbledore pushed up his glasses, looking quite smug. Flitwick and McGonagall threw up their hands in disbelief.

Flitwick, standing on a bench with his hands on his hips, feigning anger, demanded, "So we're working for you for free?"

Dumbledore smiled. "It's *helping*. But you can put it on my tab. That's practically free forever, isn't it?"

Flitwick rolled his eyes at Dumbledore. "Tch. Go fool a child. But I'll definitely put it on your tab."

McGonagall didn't say much.

She just gave Dumbledore a gentle look and reminded him, "Dumbledore, you haven't been resting well these days, have you?"

"Why don't you rest a bit? Just tell us what to do."

Flitwick, of course, knew about the entanglement between McGonagall and Dumbledore.

He wisely chose to keep quiet.

Dumbledore shook his head and refused McGonagall's suggestion. "It's alright, McGonagall. Just a bit busy, nothing serious."

Then he told them Garfield's requests, and the three of them got to work.

Since the magical materials needed for the construction could all be bought right there in Diagon Alley, and with Garfield's ample funds, their progress was rapid.

The only thing slowing them down was the three of them needing to discuss exactly what protective spells to set up.

Watching his old bar undergo rapid transformation, Old Tom felt conflicted.

He knew he'd never have had the chance to hire those three to renovate it. The bar's future success wouldn't be his concern anymore.

But that didn't stop him from liking it.

He'd be managing the bar most of the time anyway. Garfield had even given him a share of the profits.

It wasn't much different from running it himself.

And even without this business, the two hundred percent profit margin would be more than enough to invest in something else.

Meanwhile, Garfield used his tracking magic and clues from Heimdall to successfully locate Frigga, the Fairy Queen, in Norway.

Coincidentally, Frigga lived in a small Norwegian seaside town, the same place where Asgard had taken refuge after the events of *Warcraft III*.

The town had been deserted at the time.

With the help of Queenie, a manor had been built. Frigga had initially planned to live there with just two or three maids and guards.

But Odin, who doted on his wife, worried endlessly.

He directly dispatched hundreds of royal guards, along with magical turrets and defensive barriers, turning the place into a fortress.

Once Odin's expectations were met, he naturally stopped. Frigga, knowing Odin's personality, didn't stop him.

She let him run wild.

After all his antics, Frigga was generally satisfied with her life.

The only drawback was that the manor had become something of a miniature Asgardian palace.

But that didn't really matter, did it? This was Hela's former prison, the seabed teeming with large creatures.

And with Garfield's several colorful ninja snakes around, she had no worries about food or drink.

Frigga spent her days watching the sea, listening to the wind, fishing. When she was in a good mood, she used magic to catch a megalodon-sized shark to feed Garfield's ninja snakes. Life was very leisurely.

Today was a beautiful, sunny day.

After lunch, Frigga sat leisurely on the balcony of her magnificent manor, drinking tea and using special magic to observe her eldest daughter, Hela, busy at the German military headquarters.

While Frigga was enjoying her leisure, Garfield arrived at the gate of the manor.
