As we travel through the deep ocean trench, the sunlight completely fades away, leaving the pitch-black abyss illuminated only by the brilliant, rhythmic glow of Lady Thalassara's massive body. Up here on her back, the silence is heavy, and I can barely spot any deep-sea creatures swimming this far down.
"Lady Thalassara, why are we traveling through a depth this deep?" I ask, leaning down against her smooth scales.
"Oh, handsome, don't worry. It is just a habit of mine," her soft voice echoes in my mind. "You see, although I have great control over my whole body, its sheer presence can still sometimes harm others. So I prefer to avoid trouble and swim deep in the ocean where there is no risk to anyone else."
"Ah, that actually makes sense..." I reply.
But as the words leave my mouth, the dark ocean suddenly tilts violently before my eyes. My vision blurs, and the pitch-black water around us begins to warp.
Oh no... not now!
"Oh! Oh... Lady! Thalassara! It's about—"
