After I finish eating the assortment of crunchy, surprisingly sweet sea plants and colorful leaves, the sun settles properly into the morning sky. The air is crisp, and the sky is a vast, clear canvas of brilliant blue.
"Do dragons not drink water?" I ask, glancing around the floating table.

I take it, gulping it down gratefully. The water is ice-cold and incredibly refreshing.
"Thank you," I say, putting the glass down. I lean forward on the table, resting my chin in my hands.
"Lady Thalassara... this world is just so big, and the oceans are incredibly vast. But given how quickly we caught up to those mermaids, your speed is honestly terrifying. Just how fast are we swimming down there in the depths?"
