Despite so much of his body is utterly broken he was still a dreamer.
For a mundage a huge fracture on the skull or an open stomach would definitely need a surgery but for a dreamer, their essence could mend such fatal wounds but regenerating an entire limb was only possible once they became a master.
Sunny taught by the great Julius the limits of a dreamer.
Yet even with all that reassurance, it was still painful. Terribly painful, it wasn't as horrible as his first nightmare. But due to how sudden it was, the shock still remained.
"my head...!"
His skull bleeding, his brain slightly visible.
His body aching from the sudden dive into the deep water, his back bruised by being slammed into the mud. His tilted leg unable to fully support his body.
Limmping he summons rocks on both his hands his mind still reeling from pain all over his body. Yet he endured.
"AHHH!"
sunny screamed, he let himself get drown by his excessive enthusiasm. Numb the pain.
There's no thoughts that could help lessen the pain. Rain wasn't in danger, all his focus is solely to himself right now.
*thud *thud *thud
A barrage of rocks came hurling toward the carapace demon. Before, Sunny couldn't focus his strength being revived suddenly. Now barely standing upright he was fine enough to throw a bunch of rocks.

"Here's some memories to defend yourself"
Julius directly transferred the memories into his soul sea. Sparks of essence flowing out and into Sunny's hand.
Sunny who was quite happy immediately frown after seeing the memories.
"These? these are just rocks." Sunny was indeed disappointed.
"You can divert attention, hit a weak spot, or just throw them repeatedly. Also quicker to summon then weapons, resummon back after being thrown they're are that useful."
'Valor made quite a lot for for practice, luckily i took all I can get.'
Julius after explaining the benefits of those rocks waved his hands instead of saying goodbye.
"Lets meet again, Dreamer Sunless!"
Sunless bows to him with respect. Ever since his father died, the orphanage and the outskirts has been his home. Yet none really became a father figure, even the orphanage's owner felt too distant for him.
'Dad...'
He nearly blurted such words.
"Thank you, Sir Julius"

'A few memories my ass, he gave me a hundred rocks!'
Sunny wasn't just a normal dreamer, with his his shadow augmenting himself each throw was as strong as a mundane using a sling to propell projectiles.
Dozen of rocks had been sent flying hoping to reach the monster's eyes. It was poking out of its shell making it more visible and easier to hit.
The monster moving closer made it advantageous for sunny to precisely hit one of its eyes.
*Crack!
One eye shattered, then it staggered. momentary confusion, it move further left. It was clear it couldn't effectively move forward anymore.
*Crack
Left and right ,sunny resummons countless rocks again and again. By now the carapace had lost its sight. It eyes exploded after being hit.
Without eyes the danger is stil palpable. Relying on vibration it dashes forward. Swinging it's claw it was abruptly stopped.
*Bang!
The claw that was supposed to hit directly to his chest was stopped by a rock. Sunny knew he couldn't run or even walk for that matter. So he used the tough nature of his memories to block the incoming claw.
Like a scythe from death, Sunny faced it head on.
the spell whisper to his ears. signifying the destruction of his memory.
'Damn that hurts, there goes two of my memories'
His hand still trembling from the shock, even his wounds are trembling. The feeling of being poked with a sharp knife.
He hurled himself further away using the swing of the monster to propell. Using his feet and legs he added more force.
*Thud
he landed on safe distance again, much further than before. Dreamers being so strong even with one leg could jump as high as a mundane athlete.
Standing up, the back view of the carapace demon can be viewed, a cicular conclave that locks tempting to hit.
With one throw, it ricochet back into sunny's left eye.
"AHHHH GOD DAMN IT!"
Had it not been for his shadow's augment, the rock could've gone deeper into his brain.
pulling it out, his left eye was now gone. But he did accomplished what he intended.
The conclave broke, and just like sunny. It's brain is visible.
Without eyes, the carapace demon couldn't know where to look. Sunny had to push himself beyond his limit knowing he had only one chance. It had no neck to twist its head, as it slowly moved its whole body to turn. The window of opportunity is slowly slipping away.
With the last of his sanity before pain ultimately incapacitate him. He throws the bloodied rock into the cracked conclave directly into it's brain.
The spell whispers, Sunny gained a sword.
*Thud
He crashes flat into the mud. Half conscious.
"No one? just the two of us?"
As he closed his eyes, he felt weird that nobody came not even another nightmare creature appeared despite his screaming. Like it was deliberate.
'Fated...?' With his final thoughts, he fell into slumber.
