"Who dares to wake me up from my deep slumber?"
The creature roared at the Everlight party. Raye held himself onto the rope, trying not to fall off into the large pit of the dead volcano.
"Deep slumber? From what I've heard from the head clan of the Doreimnberg clan told me that recently, the volcanic mountains belt had been trembling, was it the creature's snoring?"
While Raye was lost in his thought, the creature scoffed and roared again.
"You must have not dignity, waking me up and yet ignoring my question, how ignorant you must be,"
Raye quickly snapped back to reality and answered the creature.
"It is I that woke you up, are you the one that caused the volcanic mountains belt to tremble?"
"...,yes, is that all you want to ask?"
"Thats's it!? That's his reaction!?" Raye thought to himself but realized the creature admitted to it.
"Can you stop it? It's been disrupting the dwarves from mining and us from passing across the volcanic mountains belt,"
"Oh? What authority do you have to give out order to me?"
"No one,"
"Arrogant one, I will stop if you beat me in a duel,"
"Huh?"
"Fight me, and I will put it in consideration,"
Raye hesitated for a moment then nodded. His right hand left the rope and held onto his sword as he draws it out and pointed at the dragon.
Al and Amethia were shocked at Raye's decision but had no choice but to listen to him.
The creature ginned widely and emerged his body from the lava, revealing the body of a dragon from it. The dragon then flew up of the lava so fast then it almost sent the Everlight party behind. It then descend just right above the lava and let out a loud roar.
"I am the dragon of magma and lava, the dragon who rules all volcano, now introduce yourself, hero,"
"I'm Raye Winston, the leader of the Everlight party,"
"Very well Raye Winston, our battle shall begin,"
The battle started by the dragon of magma and lava shooting lava ball from its mouth. Raye dodges the attack as he ran around the dead volcano. Will and Amethia flew up and retaliate with magic by Will using lightning magic and Amethia using water. The lava dragon shot out more lava from its mouth and the mages using their spells to neutralize the attacks. Al and Auoun ran from opposite side of each other while Raye leaped from the ground up high by investing his mana on strength. He launches himself up in the air and swings his sword at the nose of the dragon but the scale of it protected it.
[He's the dragon of magma and lava, the closest primitive cousin to the true red dragon, he is no easy work for you, he might even be stronger than the true green dragon's child we met earlier,]
Raye heard a ring in his ear. Realizing it was Loki's voice, it seems that his familiar is speaking with him through telepathy, which is common among master and familiar.
"Then how should I beat him?"
Raye thought in his mind, as a response to Loki.
[You can't, not with your current abilities, maybe that dwarf could deal a damage or two, but you might lose to him,]
"Aren't you gonna help?"
[I won't,]
"..., do you trust me?"
[What?]
Raye looked at Loki's face. With their eyes staring at each other, Loki once again saw the eyes of the person he can truly trust.
[...yes,]
"Thank you,"
Raye then stood firmly onto the ground and swings his sword to the right. He then sent himself in front of the dragon's left eye and tried to stab it.
[Wait, don't do that-]
Before Loki could finish, Raye felt a painful pressure that made him can't move. He tilted his eyes towards the dragon and saw that bright yellow eye staring into him.
The dragon then let Raye off which the strong pressure subside and Raye fell onto the ground. Auoun ran forward and catches him, avoiding Raye taking damage.
[I told you he is not someone to be underestimated, that move he used on you ispressure point, it paralyzes its opponent,]
Loki came out of Raye's armor and grumbled.
"I guess it won't be easy to land a hit on him,"
The dragon of magma and lava breathe out lava from his mouth again and this time shot multiples around the dead volcano and in the air at Will and Amethia. The mages retaliate with magic and the hero uses his sword to air slash them.
For the dwarf and the priest, Auoun dashes straight onto the lava, thinking he could destroy it with his dual hammers but before it could fall on them, Al threw himself to Auoun, pushing him aside, dodging the flaming hot lava.
"You idiot! You can't destroy lava even with your thick skin and hammers!"
"I can't destroy...lava?"
"You fool, never mind,"
Al clicked his tongue and looked over at Raye slashing the lava, exploding them before landing at him. This gave Al an epiphany on how Auoun could fight against the dragon.
"Hey, you like destroying stuff with your hammers right?"
"I wouldn't say I like, I just want to have a good battle,"
"Well then, I got the right spell for you..."
