The following days moved with relentless speed, as if New York itself refused to give Scarlett a moment to breathe.
Filming schedules grew tighter. Scenes became heavier. Expectations rose.

Julian was avoiding her.
Not openly. Not in a way anyone else would notice. To the outside world, nothing had changed. He was still present on set when needed, still composed, still the untouchable Julian Caldwell.
But Scarlett felt it.
The distance.
The deliberate absence in his gaze whenever she entered a room. The way conversations between them became strictly professional. The way he always seemed to leave just before she arrived, or arrive just after she left.
It was controlled.
Intentional.
And it irritated her more than she wanted to admit.
