Chapter 154: Solar Sperm's Despair
Solar Sperm's mind went hazy from the impact of that punch. His brain suffered a temporary blackout.
A tenth of a second later, he finally snapped back to reality. Extreme terror flooded his gaze as he looked at the Saitama standing right in front of him. The confidence he had built up through his newfound god-like power vanished instantly.
"Gah! Stay away from me!!"
Solar Sperm had truly reached his breaking point. He could feel that if that punch had been even slightly stronger, he would have tasted death.
This guy is absolutely not someone I can fight... I have to get out of here... RUN!
Realizing the bald man before him was a natural disaster he couldn't hope to rival, Solar Sperm turned and fled without a second thought, shuttling through the cosmic void.
Without the resistance of atmosphere, Solar Sperm's speed reached sub-light levels. In a mere heartbeat, he vanished from the surface of Jupiter.
Go! Keep moving!
The giant planet behind him receded rapidly. Solar Sperm hurtled through the vast, silent starry sky, glancing back in terror every few seconds.
Only when he confirmed that the reflective "boiled egg" was no longer in his line of sight did he finally allow himself a sigh of relief.
Hmph. Lucky for me, I possess super-speed. He's just one human after all...
"You run pretty fast. Are you a speed-type monster? Looking at those flames all over you, you're like a human internal combustion engine!"
The familiar voice rang out right beside his ear. Every hair on Solar Sperm's body stood on end, and his very soul trembled.
He stiffly turned his head. There, a completely naked bald man was hovering in mid-air, arms extended forward in a classic "Superman" flight pose. Those dull, deadpan eyes were staring straight at him.
Solar Sperm wanted to cry, but no tears came. He literally couldn't shake this guy.
WHY CAN'T I LOSE HIM?!
At this point, Saitama's interest was piqued. He felt a growing urge to investigate this flame monster.
That last punch had been right on the border of his "Normal" range, yet it hadn't killed the opponent. This realization made Saitama feel a rare spark of excitement.
It's been a long time since I've met someone this durable...
Since he lost his hair, the only other person he'd met who could take a beating like this was his best friend, King. This guy was a certified "Legendary Sandbag."
Sensing the Bald Demon's burning gaze, the pressure on Solar Sperm's psyche became unbearable. His flight speed increased even further.
The survival instinct began to stimulate Solar Sperm's latent potential, allowing him to more fully integrate the Divine Power within his body. His strength was climbing even higher.
But even as he grew stronger, Solar Sperm didn't dare to stop. The bald man in front of him had left a permanent psychological scar on his mind.
The chase continued for nearly twenty minutes. Even the Sun behind them had receded into the distance. The last source of familiar light vanished, leaving only the infinite Milky Way visible to the eye.
What kind of sick joke is this?!
Beside him, Saitama maintained a lazy flight posture, looking as if he were just playing a game.
Saitama was indeed happy to play along. This was the first time he had found such a resilient toy.
The Bald Demon was always willing to grant a little extra patience to anyone who didn't die from a single punch.
Moreover, Saitama could roughly sense the "weight" of a monster's sins—whether they were truly evil or just a "misunderstood" monster.
Strangely, despite possessing such horrific power, this Solar Sperm fellow had almost never killed a human. He was a "Good Monster" through and through.
"Consecutive Normal Punches."
While maintaining his sub-light flight, Saitama unleashed a barrage of hundreds of red fist-shadows. Each punch carried a biting gale and enough raw force to shatter the fabric of space.
Damn it!
Solar Sperm's face twisted in horror. He desperately funneled his energy into a defensive stance, but he was still pummeled until his flames dimmed. Cracks began to spiderweb across his golden body.
The barrage left his consciousness blurred. His life force was visibly depleted, and blood began to leak from his seven orifices.
So strong... I can't possibly fight this thing...
Solar Sperm spiraled into total despair. In this moment, he finally understood how those S-Class heroes felt.
That crushing sense of powerlessness—an enemy you can't outrun, can't resist, and whose strongest attacks feel like a light tickle to the opponent.
When things reach this point, those who don't give up are either driven by an insane will to live or are just pure idiots.
Solar Sperm belonged to the former. When backed into a corner by an unbeatable foe, he would always opt for the most violent counterattack possible.
Even a rabbit bites when cornered, let alone a God-level monster!
"SOLAR FLARE!"
Solar Sperm spat out a mouthful of golden blood. The flames on his body flared up to an impossible degree, turning him into a miniature, blinding sun.
An overwhelming wave of scorching heat erupted from him. The temperature reached such an extreme that the surrounding space was completely distorted.
In the next second, the golden flames began to converge. The brilliant light compressed rapidly into a single point. A beam radiating God-tier pressure, carrying the weight of absolute destruction, fired straight ahead.
"I'M TAKING YOU WITH ME!! GOD-SLAYING CANNON!!!"
Saitama looked at the incredibly flashy, high-budget move and felt a twinge of envy. He stood upright in the vacuum and began to stretch his joints.
After a few crisp pops of his knuckles, he raised his right fist high. His muscles bulged slightly from the concentrated effort.
"Serious Series... SERIOUS PUNCH!"
The punch that followed still lacked any fancy special effects, but the power it released made the very stars tremble. A force that crushed all things erupted from that single fist.
Solar Sperm was a God-level monster in the truest sense—significantly stronger than Meteoric Burst Boros.
Consequently, the "God-Slaying Cannon" he unleashed by burning his very life force was even more terrifying than Boros's [Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon].
If Boros's ultimate could level the planet's surface, Solar Sperm's blast was capable of reducing an entire planet to subatomic dust.
In the next heartbeat, the fist and the God-Slaying Cannon collided head-on in the deep silence of space.
