Wei Chen felt the pull clearly. The energy of the fragment reached toward his bloodline like a living thing. The rival felt it too. His eyes narrowed, and the golden power around him grew denser as he tried to push the fight toward the source of that call.
"You feel it as well," the rival said between strikes. "That fragment does not belong to a low-realm dragon. Step aside and I will make your death quick."
Wei Chen answered with a sharp burst of Nine-Suns energy that forced the rival to block. "It is already answering me. You are the one who is late."
The fight continued across the cracking platforms. Tigress Yu and Zhao Yin kept the remaining subordinates and residual shadow energy from interfering. Huo Yan timed her flames with the ice from Lan Qing and Mei Yun, creating controlled bursts that cleared space whenever the battlefield grew too crowded. The disciples held the edges, using short boosts from the harmony scripture to finish anything that slipped past the front.
The fragment's call grew stronger. A deep red light began to shine from deeper in the sealed area, cutting through the black mist. The air itself felt heavier, charged with old power that responded more clearly to Wei Chen's Yang than to the rival's golden energy.
During a short stretch where the rival was forced to defend against a rapid sequence of bursts, the pressure on the surrounding platforms lessened just enough for the others to adjust. Wei Chen used the moment without breaking his focus on the main fight. He moved past Tigress Yu, checked the cut on her arm with a quick glance, then rubbed her firmly between her legs while speaking in a low voice.
"Still steady," he said. "Stay that way."
She gave a short breath and pressed against his hand for a few seconds before he returned to the rival.
A little later, while the disciples cleared a section of broken stone, Wei Chen pulled Zhao Yin close behind a more stable formation. He guided her down, pushed into her mouth, and moved with controlled rhythm while the main clash continued nearby. She took him quietly until he pulled back and stepped back into the fight.
The rival pressed harder. His golden energy left deeper marks across the platforms. Wei Chen matched him with speed and precision, slipping through openings and answering with focused Yang bursts. The fragment's light grew brighter. The pull toward Wei Chen strengthened.
In a brief opening that followed a heavy exchange, Wei Chen found Lan Qing steadying her breathing near the edge of the main platform. He dropped lower, parted her legs, and licked her with focused pressure until her thighs tensed and she came with a soft, controlled sound. He stood, wiped his mouth, and moved back into position without drawing the rival's attention.
Mei Yun received a short moment of attention while she prepared another cast. He stood behind her, cupped her breasts, and moved his thumbs across her nipples as he spoke close to her ear.
"Keep the mix ready. The fragment is waking."
She nodded, a light flush on her face, and continued.
The clash intensified further. The fragment's red light spread across the battlefield, mixing with the golden and Yang energy already present. The floating platforms trembled more violently. Some of the residual shadow energy from the earlier seals began to stir again, drawn by the rising power.
Tigress Yu and Zhao Yin moved quickly to cut down the new disturbances. Huo Yan and the ice queens launched a strong combined blast that cleared a path toward the deeper light. The disciples held formation, preventing anything from reaching the main fight.
Wei Chen felt the fragment's call settle more clearly into his bloodline. A new layer of understanding opened — not full knowledge yet, but a stronger connection and a temporary rise in the density of his Yang energy. The rival noticed the change at once. His expression darkened.
"You are connecting to it," the rival said. "I will not allow that."
He gathered a much larger amount of golden energy than before. The pressure around him rose sharply. At the same time the fragment's red light pulsed harder, as if answering the challenge.
Wei Chen prepared to meet the next full strike. The two powers built toward another collision as the deeper sealed area around them continued to react to the fragment's call.
The red light ahead grew even brighter. Something inside the fragment was beginning to fully awaken.
