The golden energy in the rival's hands reached its peak and slammed downward. Wei Chen met it head-on with a concentrated burst of Nine-Suns power. The collision cracked the floating platform beneath them and sent a shockwave outward that forced several of the remaining subordinates and even some of the disciples to brace themselves.
The two of them moved at once. The rival pressed forward with heavy, refined strikes, each one carrying the weight of a higher realm. Wei Chen answered with speed and precision, using his fan to deflect the worst of the force and slipping in sharp bursts of Yang energy whenever an opening appeared. Neither of them gave ground easily.
Around them the rest of the group continued their own work. Tigress Yu and Zhao Yin finished the last of the stronger subordinates who tried to interfere. Huo Yan timed her flames with the ice from Lan Qing and Mei Yun, creating controlled bursts that kept the edges of the battlefield clear. The disciples held formation, dealing with the smaller threats and the unstable platforms that kept cracking under the force of the main clash.
The fight between Wei Chen and the rival stretched across several platforms. Each exchange grew heavier. The rival's golden energy left scorch marks across the stone. Wei Chen's Yang bursts cracked the air with heat and light. The inheritance crystal at Wei Chen's side pulsed harder with every collision, the next major fragment reacting to the rising power.
During a short stretch where the rival was forced to defend against a strong sequence of bursts, the pressure on the surrounding platforms lessened just enough for the others to catch their breath. Wei Chen did not waste the moment. He moved to Tigress Yu's side, checked a fresh cut along her arm, then rubbed her firmly between her legs while speaking in a low voice.
"Still holding," he said. "Your body hasn't dropped."
She gave a short breath and pressed against his hand for a few seconds before he turned back toward the rival.
A little later, while the disciples cleared a section of broken stone, Wei Chen pulled Zhao Yin behind a more stable formation. He guided her down, pushed into her mouth, and moved with steady control while the main clash continued nearby. She took him quietly until he pulled back and returned to the fight.
The rival grew more aggressive. He gathered another large amount of golden energy and forced Wei Chen to give ground for a moment. The platform under them split further. Huo Yan and the ice queens answered by launching a strong combined blast at a residual shadow energy that had begun to stir from the earlier seals, preventing it from interfering with the main fight.
In the brief opening that followed, Wei Chen found Lan Qing steadying her breathing. He dropped lower, parted her legs, and licked her with focused pressure until her thighs tensed and she came with a soft, controlled sound. He stood, wiped his mouth, and moved back into position.
Mei Yun received attention while she prepared another cast. He stood behind her for a moment, cupped her breasts, and moved his thumbs across her nipples as he spoke close to her ear.
"Keep the mix ready. We may need it again."
She nodded, a light flush on her face, and continued.
The clash continued to escalate. Wei Chen and the rival traded heavier blows. The disciples and queens kept the surrounding area clear. Tigress Yu and Zhao Yin finished two more residual threats. The ice-flame combination cracked a dense patch of lingering shadow energy that had begun to form near the edge of the platforms.
The inheritance crystal pulsed even harder. The next major fragment was close enough now that its energy had begun to leak into the battlefield, mixing with the golden and Yang power already present. The air grew heavier. The floating platforms trembled more violently.
The rival noticed the change as well. His eyes narrowed. He gathered a larger amount of golden energy than before, the pressure around him rising sharply.
Wei Chen felt the shift and prepared to answer it. At the same time he felt the fragment's energy pulling more strongly toward him, as if the Yang Dragon bloodline itself was responding to the fight.
The rival's next attack built higher. The golden light around him intensified.
Wei Chen glanced once toward the path that led to the fragment, then back at the rival.
The two of them prepared to meet at full strength once more as the deeper sealed area around them began to react in earnest to the colliding powers.
