Chapter 218 - Chapter 221 'Revenge'

  Chapter 221 'Revenge'

Thor, of course, wouldn't agree. After glaring at Finney, he frowned at Loki, who had his back to him, and finally sighed, conceding, "I'll only give you five minutes!"

With that, he turned and left angrily.

After Thor left, Loki immediately turned around, craning his neck to look to the side. Only after confirming that Thor was truly gone did he look at Finney.

Alone with Finney, Loki couldn't help but recall the fear of being beaten in New York. Fortunately, the transparent barrier imprisoning him acted as a protective layer, giving him a slight sense of security.

"Alright, now it's just the two of us!"

Finney looked at Loki and said, "You can speak now!"

But Loki shook his head, looked at Finney and said, "No, you go first!"

Finney frowned and said in a deep voice, "To be honest, I don't think you're trustworthy, so it's best if you speak first!"

Loki tilted his head, looked at Finney again, nodded and said, "Okay, then I'll go first. What do you want to know?"

"Where is Thanos now? How many men does he have? Did he say anything when he sent you to Earth?"

Finney asked in a deep voice. He wasn't too worried that Loki was deceiving him. He wouldn't easily go to Thanos without absolute certainty.

"He's always on the move, constantly traveling in his spaceships, never settling down. Besides the Chitauri, he has countless Vanguard, incredibly ferocious creatures who exist solely for slaughter."

"Also, my relationship with him is a deal. I'm not his subordinate. I promised to give him the Tesseract in exchange for lending me an army to help me conquer the Nine Realms and let me govern them."

Finney glanced at Loki and continued, "Besides the Vanguard, what about the Vanguard? I remember he has a few other powerful figures under him, do you know them?"

Loki's eyes flickered slightly, and he nodded, "There's a Black Order, I think it consists of five people, very powerful, also known as the Black Order!"

  "Five?!"

Finney frowned slightly, then asked in a deep voice, "Who are they? How much do you know about them?"

Thanos was able to destroy so many planets not only because of his immense power and army, but also because of his generals.

Loki shook his head and replied, "I only know two of them, Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight, and I've only seen them once!"

Finney pondered for a moment, looked at Loki who was shrugging helplessly, and continued, "Then how much stronger do you think I am compared to Thanos?"

Loki was slightly taken aback, looked at Finney seriously, and shook his head again, saying, "I don't know. He's very strong, and he rarely fights. He crushes all the enemies he faces, and I've never seen him display his full power!" Finney

thought Loki would say the difference wasn't that big, and then trick him into fighting Thanos, but he didn't expect this answer.

Then Finney asked a few more questions about the spaceship and the Black Order, and Loki answered truthfully.

Seeing this, Finney kept his promise and said, "If Thanos ever captures you and wants to kill you, you can tell him you know the location of the Soul Stone. If nothing unexpected happens, he'll at least let you live to take him to the stone."

  "The Soul Stone?"

Loki looked surprised. He knew what Thanos was looking for, but he didn't know the specifics or its purpose.

"Yes, it's on a planet called Vormir!"

Finney told Loki frankly. Since he couldn't possibly sacrifice himself, he figured he might as well spread the word. If someone did, he could try to steal the stone.

After saying this, Finney looked at the cell in front of him and comforted Loki, "Actually, it's quite safe for you to stay here. As long as Odin is still alive, Thanos won't dare come."

Hearing Odin's name, a complex expression appeared on Loki's face, then he sneered, "He won't live much longer, and Asgard will be destroyed by that idiot sooner or later!"

  "That's hard to say!"

Phineas (Finney) shook his head. If Hela hadn't unleashed the fire giants, who knew who would inherit Asgard?

Loki looked puzzled. He sensed Phineas knew something. Back on Earth, he'd researched Phineas's background, but it hadn't been useful.

Back in Asgard, even in the dungeons, he'd gleaned some information about the outside world. For example, he knew Phineas seemed to come from Kamar-Taj,

and was a guest of honor acknowledged by Odin, who had even hosted a three-day banquet for him.

This surprised Loki. Odin was a very proud man; he felt that Phineas's strength might have caught Odin's eye, but not enough to warrant such a title.

The reason must lie in Kamar-Taj; he hadn't even known such a place existed on Earth.

Just as Loki was about to ask Phineas, Thor returned with his hammer.

  "Finished asking?"

Thor looked at Phineas, still somewhat displeased.

  "Hmm!"

Finney nodded. Although Loki didn't know much, he wasn't entirely useless. Thor glanced one last time at Loki, who had returned to his chair, book in hand like a bookish young girl, and said to Thor, "Let's go!"

Before leaving, Thor gave Loki a lecture, advising him to reflect on his actions, but Loki didn't even look up, seemingly ignoring Thor. However, after they turned away, he deliberately said goodbye to Finney, as if to spite Thor.

Once outside the dungeon, Thor was indeed furious, constantly complaining about Loki.

After complaining, Thor, curious about their conversation, asked Finney, "What did you two talk about?"

  "Nothing much!"

Finney replied casually, "I told him the location of a treasure, and he told me about Thanos and his army."

  "Thanos..."

Thor had heard the name from Finney several times already, and couldn't help but ask, "Is it because he sent the Chitauri to invade Earth, so you're planning to go find him?"

  "Sigh, it's not just that!"

Finney sighed, glanced at Thor, and without explaining further, changed the subject, saying, "I'm thinking of going to the library to look at those Tree-like books you mentioned. If you're busy, go ahead and do your thing!"

Hearing "library," Thor immediately showed a look of disgust; to him, reading was far less interesting than fighting.

But Thor didn't leave immediately; instead, he asked, "When will you finish reading them?"

  "What's wrong?"

  Finney asked, puzzled.

"Actually, I've always felt that the previous battle wasn't over yet, so how about we spar again?!"

Thor said, gripping his hammer tightly. That 'defeat' battle was a thorn in his side, and he'd long wanted to get revenge on Phineas.

However, Odin wouldn't allow him to go to Earth, so he hadn't been able to.

But now that Phineas had come to Asgard on his own initiative, he didn't want to miss such a good opportunity. Besides, Phineas had been incredibly arrogant in the training grounds yesterday, and even for the sake of Asgard's honor, he had to stand up and salvage some face.

Phineas paused slightly upon hearing this, then showed an amused expression, nodded, and readily agreed: "No problem, tomorrow morning then!"
