Chapter 213 - Chapter 213: Welcome Home

"Your Highness, who was that man?"

Panther Lily asked Mystogan. He had clashed with Kael and been defeated with ease. He had never encountered such a powerful individual before.

"Him? He is the strongest mage in the Fairy Tail guild of that world."

"Earth-land... it truly is a world overflowing with magic. To think it could give birth to such a terrifying monster. Your Highness, about the King..."

At that moment, the King of Edolas had been rescued from the mechanical dragon. Faust was completely unconscious. According to what Kael said, even if Faust woke up, he would be a total vegetable.

"It is his just deserts. At least he is still alive. For now, let's focus on comforting the people. There is much to be done."

--------

Magnolia Town

Vroom—!

A crack appeared in space, slowly tearing open to reveal a Garganta. Several figures stepped out from the black cavity. Outside, a heavy rain was still falling.

"We're finally back—!!"

Natsu shouted with excitement. Though they hadn't been gone long, it felt like an eternity.

"Yeah! When I first saw everyone disappear, I really didn't know what to do."

Wendy couldn't help but sigh with emotion. At that time, she knew something was wrong and had rushed back to the guild to warn everyone, only to watch the entire building vanish before her eyes. She had been terrified.

"It's Fairy Tail! It's just like it was!!"

"The streets of Magnolia, too!!"

"This is great!!"

The group could now see the streets of Magnolia and the guild in the distance. Everything looked exactly as it did before they left.

"Let's go check it out. I wonder how everyone is doing?"

"Alright!"

Braving the rain, the group ran cheerfully toward the guild.

"Kael... Kael! My sister and brother..."

Lisanna desperately wanted to see her siblings, but she felt a bit apprehensive.

Kael smiled. "Mira and Elfman are behind the church right now."

"Thank you, Kael!"

Hearing Kael's words, Lisanna sprinted toward the cemetery behind the church.

Kardia Cathedral

The cathedral had been destroyed during the battle between Kael and Laxus, but it had since been rebuilt, standing taller and more magnificent than before.

Behind the church was the cemetery. Lisanna's grave was located here. Since she had seemingly vanished into thin air years ago, the grave contained only some of her personal belongings that Mira had gathered.

"Sister, it's about time to go."

Elfman said, holding an umbrella over Mira.

"Just a little longer... I want to stay with Lisanna for a bit more..."

Normally, Mira almost never came here to avoid the pain of remembering Lisanna's death. Since she had finally made the trip, she naturally wanted to spend more time with her sister.

"Sister Mira!! Brother Elfman!!"

A familiar voice rang out behind them.

Mira and Elfman turned around to see someone they couldn't believe was real.

"Li... Lisanna...!!"

Lisanna lunged forward and hugged Mira tightly. Feeling the warmth of the person in her arms, Mira confirmed this wasn't an illusion.

Elfman's hands trembled, and tears flowed uncontrollably. He was in shock. "Is it... is it really you... Lisanna! You... you..."

"It's me! Sister Mira, Brother Elfman, I'm back."

"Welcome home!"

Mira looked at Lisanna through a veil of tears.

"Lisanna, how did you come back?"

"Kael brought me back."

Mira looked up and saw Kael and the others standing a short distance away.

"Kael... thank you..."

Though she didn't know the details, she knew Kael must have gone through something incredible again.

"There's no need for thanks between us. Come on, let's head to the guild. We can talk about everything else once we get there."

The group returned to the guild together. The moment the members saw Lisanna, they were all stunned, their faces filled with disbelief.

Kael then reported everything that had happened in Edolas to Makarov.

"What?!"

"There's actually another world called Edolas?!"

"We almost got turned into magic power?!"

"If it weren't for the timing and Lisanna coming back, I really wouldn't believe it."

They had come to the guild in the morning, and in what felt like the blink of an eye, it was already evening.

"Lisanna is back—!!"

"Today's a holiday!! Drink your fill!! Eat your fill!!"

"Welcome back, Lisanna!!" ...

Most people in the guild had joined Fairy Tail before Lisanna disappeared and knew her well. Many, like Natsu, had grown up in the guild alongside her.

"The guild feels different. Even Sister Mira gives off a different vibe. But Fairy Tail is still Fairy Tail, after all."

Lisanna looked around the guild with joy. The small guild of the past had become the massive guild of today, making her realize that two years really had passed.

"Kael, we owe you once again."

Makarov said to Kael. Since Kael joined the guild, he had resolved countless troublesome incidents. This time, he had saved Makarov and the entire guild.

"It's just what I should do. No need to be so formal, Master."

Kael acted casual. Having been in Fairy Tail for so long, he had long since considered this place his home.

"Good lad, taking down an entire kingdom. You really are a hero. You've got the same flair I had in my youth, hahahaha!"

Gildarts had originally just thought Kael was an impressive young man, but now he realized that he and the Master had been in danger without even knowing it. They had nearly lost their lives.

"It was just luck. If you had stepped in, it would have been handled even more easily."

Kael spoke humbly. He knew Gildarts was extremely powerful. With his Crash magic as a foundation, any magic from Edolas would have been shattered the moment it touched Gildarts' magic power.

"Hahahahahaha! You really are a good kid!"

Gildarts patted Kael on the shoulder.

"Mystogan... I hope everything goes well for him in Edolas."

Makarov thought of Mystogan. Mystogan was one of the early members of the guild. Although he didn't interact much with the other members, he was a reliable and good kid. Now that he was in another world, Makarov was somewhat worried.

"He'll be fine. The kids raised by this guild are all full of energy."

Makarov asked, "Gildarts, are you staying at the guild for a while?"

Gildarts nodded. "Yeah, of course. I've been away for too long this time. It's time to take a good rest."
