Ashley Bowen frowned and held down Gordon's legs. "Sit still. Mommy's taking you out for a big dinner tonight."
"Wow, really?" the little guy exclaimed, thrilled.
"Really. Nina's coming too. Look at you, now sit still."
Watching her son wave his arms and legs in excitement, Ashley Bowen smiled and shook her head.
She had been hiding the news of Mary Preston's passing from her son, lying that his grandma had gone back to the countryside and would be away for a while.
She hoped that as time went on, the boy would gradually forget about his grandma, or that she could tell him the cruel truth when he was a little older.
