Annabelle Linton watched his aggrieved expression and smiled, lifting a piece of salad to his mouth with her fork.
Then she said with a faint smile, "That's because they're busy with work or don't get out much, so they're excited about traveling and have suggestions. I'm different. I've probably been to all the typical honeymoon destinations, so I don't feel any particular excitement."
"How can that be the same? This is our honeymoon."
Aaron Wyatt ate the salad she offered him and looked at her, the aggrieved expression on his face deepening. "Annabelle, why do I get the feeling that you were abducted by bandits to be their chieftain's wife, and now you've lost all will to live?"
The analogy made Annabelle Linton laugh, her expression coming alive. She said lightly, "I've been wronged, Your Honor! I wasn't thinking that at all. I just feel that as long as I'm with you, anywhere we go is fine."
Aaron Wyatt loved that answer. He grinned. "You're forgiven."
