As soon as he entered the office, his assistant, Chester, flashed him a V-sign. His heart leaped with joy as he hurried over. Chester handed him the contract termination agreement, already stamped. The weight that had been pressing on his heart finally lifted.
The first thing he did was call Lara to tell her the news. She was surprisingly calm. "I was just thinking, if she didn't let you go, I was going to go over there and have a word with her myself!"
