Lara Nash couldn't stand it in the bedroom anymore. She got out of bed, hastily threw on some clothes, and rushed out, yelling at the father-daughter pair, "Ronan Joyce, go out and buy me medicine right now!"
Coming from the dim bedroom, she was momentarily blinded by the bright, sunlit living room and instinctively shielded her eyes. By the time they adjusted, he was already beside her. He gently wrapped his arms around her, his voice tinged with clear delight as he asked, "You're awake?"
Before she could even protest what he'd just said, Cheryl scampered over, hugged her leg, and proudly announced, "Mommy, you're awake! Daddy said you're going to give me a little brother."
