Ethan Shaw looked at Melody Shaw with an air of indifference, the lighter in his hand clicking rhythmically. "I did what my brother asked and tried my best to talk you out of this. You're the one who insisted on crashing into a brick wall. When you end up battered and bruised, don't blame me."
"Then let's start the vote. The outcome isn't decided yet."
Melody Shaw assumed Ethan was just trying to scare her with empty threats. Aiden Shaw was solely focused on being a doctor; he had never once meddled in the company's affairs.
Ethan Shaw looked at the shareholders sitting around the conference table. "Alright then, let's vote by a show of hands. All in favor of Ms. Melody Shaw succeeding as the new chairman, please raise your hand."
All the shareholders present looked at one another, each mentally weighing the pros and cons. They knew that if they chose the wrong side, life at the Shaw Group would become very difficult.
