At the end of the day, Mortimer simply didn't trust Timothy Sterling. He thought Timothy's offer was just empty talk and that he had no intention of actually covering the hospital's expenses.
Who in their right mind would be stupid enough to pay a hospital on someone else's behalf?
"You... you people!" Timothy Sterling was so furious he felt a wave of dizziness. These people were being completely unreasonable. He had followed the ambulance here alone, without an attendant or his driver. Otherwise, he would have taught this mob a lesson. At this point, he no longer cared if assault was against the law.
Seeing Mrs. Sterling's vitals drop to critical levels, the doctor shouted frantically, "Get out of the way! If anything happens to her, you'll be breaking the law, you know that!"
