Upon hearing this, the third great-uncle looked toward Mrs. Sterling's tombstone. He wasn't sure if his mind was playing tricks on him, but he felt as if the Mrs. Sterling in the photograph was glaring at him. Startled, the third great-uncle quickly clamped his mouth shut and swallowed hard.
As Aurora Sterling walked out of the cemetery, it began to rain. Since he wasn't a member of the Sterling family, Damien Valerius hadn't gone inside, waiting for her outside instead.
The man held up an umbrella and strode quickly toward the rain-drenched Aurora, pulling her petite, forlorn figure into his arms. "What are you planning to do next?"
Aurora Sterling buried her face in Damien Valerius's chest, the rain on her cheeks dampening his shirt. "I'm going to stay, attend Westgate Medical University, and fulfill Grandma's last wish. Also, I'm going to avenge her."
