Inside the exam hall, the proctor had already handed out the papers for the first test. The students sat primly in their seats, waiting only for the nine o'clock bell to ring before they could begin.
As it happened, Sharon Sterling and Dylan Valerius had been assigned to the same exam hall. What's more, for this test, Dylan Valerius was seated diagonally in front of her.
Sharon Sterling gave the test paper a cursory glance, then raised her eyes toward Dylan Valerius. She saw, however, that he wasn't looking down at his paper. Instead, he was staring at a spot behind him.
Following his gaze, she saw an empty seat.
Sharon Sterling's eyes darkened. She could never understand it. She tried so hard to prove herself, yet everyone's attention was always focused on Aurora Sterling. The Sterling Family was like that, and now, so was Dylan Valerius.
"You two, stop looking around!" the proctor at the front of the room warned Dylan Valerius and Sharon Sterling.
