After Sean Adler ran off, Grandma Jocelyn smiled at Cecilia Adler. "You're getting more and more formidable these days. It seems Ian is taking good care of you."
"My improvement is my own doing," Cecilia said. "I can't believe you're crediting Ian for it. What did he give you? You're always singing his praises and sticking up for him."
"He's polite," Grandma Jocelyn couldn't help but add. She paused, then said, "He's just a bit... odd. Hot one minute, cold the next. Does he have a difficult personality or something?"
Cecilia laughed. 'They're two different people, so of course their personalities are different.'
'It would be great if they could complement each other.'
'The Ian with glasses could get rid of his calculating nature, and the one without glasses could fix his bad temper.'
'How perfect would that be?!'
She said, "What's wrong with his personality? I think it's perfectly fine."
