Cecilia Adler felt deeply uncomfortable, having her secrets exposed like that. It took her a long moment to compose herself. "Are you still going to take a look?"
"Yes."
Cecilia led him to the small workshop.
He looked at the surroundings and praised her for her courage and foresight.
The location had easy access to transportation, with many delivery vehicles congregating nearby. And though people bustled about, they were all absorbed in their own work, making her little workshop very difficult to spot.
Cecilia said smugly, "I fell in love with this place the first time I saw it."
The only downside was the old bachelor next door who was always coming over to borrow things.
Even after she had explicitly refused him, he never changed his ways. The moment he saw smoke rising from her chimney, he would show up.
She opened the main gate.
Two dogs started barking in unison.
Cecilia scolded them, "Are you blind? Barking at me? One more peep and I'll butcher you for meat!"
