After dealing with the major headache that was Theresa Sheridan and her family, and getting her revenge on Daniel Dalton, Cecilia Adler slept wonderfully.
She woke before dawn the next day, brushed her teeth, washed her face, and headed into town with some dry rations and a small canteen. She planned to use the few days she had left to prepare fertilizer for the old woman in advance and stock up on a set amount of grain.
She was a fast walker and reached the city in less than three hours.
It took her another hour to find one of her old partners in speculation.
"Big Brother Wyatt, long time no see!"
The man called Big Brother Wyatt, whose name was Bill Wyatt, took a closer look. Recognizing Cecilia Adler, his eyes lit up. "Cecilia! Didn't you go to the city with your dad? What are you doing back in our hometown?"
"Can't I come back?"
