"I'm not talking to you anymore." Cecilia Adler went to see the old lady.
As soon as she entered, she heard the old lady chiding her. "What kept you so late? Have you eaten?"
"No."
"Your mother-in-law left a meal for you in the kitchen. It's probably still warm."
Cecilia Adler went to the kitchen to find something to eat and lifted the lid of the pot.
Inside was a large bowl of rice and a generous portion of fish fillets and side dishes, which looked like they had been picked through with chopsticks.
'Who picked the fish apart like this?'
'Are they giving me leftovers?'
'I'm so hungry.'
'This will have to do.'
She put the fish and vegetables into her bowl and carried it back to the guest room.
