Chapter 199 - Chapter 199: You'd Better Prepare Yourself!

Seeing how impatient his teacher had become, the smile on Lin Xia's lips deepened, while a teasing glint flashed through his eyes.

"Teacher, of course I can let you see it. However..."

He deliberately dragged out the last word, his tone becoming unexpectedly solemn.

"You'd better prepare yourself first."

"Prepare? Prepare for what?"

Lou Gao was taken aback before waving his hand boldly. The Nirvana Golden Flame surrounding him swayed along with the gesture.

"I'm now a candidate for the Phoenix God's divine inheritance. What haven't I seen? Even if a hundred-thousand-year Soul Beast were standing right in front of me, I would—"

His words came to an abrupt halt.

Because Lin Xia said nothing further.

He simply willed it.

Buzz!!

It was not the radiance of Soul Rings.

Instead, something deeper, older, and seemingly born from the very core of the earth awakened within Lin Xia.

An indescribably immense, savage aura carrying both destruction and creation erupted from him, like an ancient beast opening its eyes after an eternal slumber.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!!

The earth let out a pained groan.

This was no longer the localized tremor caused by Lou Gao's divine might or the clash of the mecha.

This time, the entire outer region of the Norton Volcano Range, spanning several kilometers, shook violently.

The black volcanic ground rippled, churned, and cracked apart as though an invisible hand large enough to cover heaven and earth were crushing and kneading it.

Countless massive boulders were compressed, lifted, and shattered by an unseen force.

Dust shot skyward like a raging sandstorm.

Standing at the center of the storm, Lou Gao experienced the full horror of it.

His body, tempered by the Phoenix Divine Flame and capable of withstanding mountains head-on, actually felt sluggish beneath this overwhelming pressure born purely from unimaginable mass and dominion over the earth itself.

The volcanic rock beneath his feet no longer served as solid ground.

Instead, it felt like a vast quicksand vortex ready to swallow everything.

His crimson-gold eyes, burning with divine flames, contracted to tiny pinpoints.

Then an enormous shadow rapidly solidified and expanded behind Lin Xia, blotting out the sky.

It was no longer Pupitar's relatively rounded, shell-like form.

What stood there was a monstrous, majestic fortress of war, seemingly forged from the deepest magma beneath the earth and the hardest divine metal.

Tyranitar.

It had appeared.

It stood a full one hundred meters tall.

Like a crimson mountain rising from the earth itself.

Simply standing there gave the illusion that heaven and earth were collapsing, its colossal body squeezing the very fabric of space.

Its entire body was covered in impossibly thick armor that gleamed with a dark metallic luster.

This armor was not something it wore.

It was part of its body itself, as though it had been born clad in sacred armor.

The armor was a deep, oppressive crimson, like solidified volcanic lava, its surface covered with rough, savage patterns that resembled naturally formed markings of war.

Its head was enormous and ferocious, protected by overlapping armored plates that formed the outline of a demonic dragon's skull.

A pair of enormous scythe-like fangs extended from both its upper and lower jaws, each gleaming with a chilling light.

From the back of its head, along its neck, and behind its mountain-like shoulders grew numerous black spikes of varying sizes.

Every single spike stretched well over ten meters long, like spears of death pointing toward the heavens, radiating an aura sharp enough to pierce the sky itself.

Its tail was incomparably thick, nearly as long as its body, and was likewise covered in heavy armor.

Near the end of the tail was a ring of smaller yet equally lethal black spikes, resembling the hooked protrusions of a massive siege hammer, hinting at the devastating force capable of sweeping away entire armies.

The most striking feature, however, was the series of openings in its armor.

On either side of its broad, plaza-like chest, along the center of its back where the spine ran, and on the knees of its pillar-like legs were two perfectly triangular openings each.

Their interiors were pitch-black, unfathomably deep, as though connected to an endless void or the deepest underground mines.

They constantly emitted a faint energy fluctuation and a strange force that seemed to devour even light itself.

Meanwhile, at the center of its abdomen and near the lower part of its back were two enormous diamond-shaped gaps, exposing an even darker inner shell beneath.

That inner armor appeared denser, polished like black obsidian, as though it housed the true core of Tyranitar's overwhelming power.

Tyranitar merely stood there.

It neither roared nor moved.

Its gigantic eyes, hidden beneath the shadow of its heavily armored head, silently gazed down upon the tiny figure of Lou Gao.

An overwhelming pressure belonging to the absolute apex of the food chain, a ruler of earth and stone mixed with ancient savagery, violent tyranny, and the immovable weight of mountains, surged through the surroundings like one colossal tidal wave after another.

How could this possibly still be the tiny, adorable "Larvitar" that Lin Xia used to cradle in his arms and hold in the palm of his hand?

This was clearly a monarch of sandstorms that had stepped out of ancient myth itself, a living embodiment of the earth's wrath and absolute power.

Yet Tyranitar's arrival brought far more than just its terrifying appearance and overwhelming pressure.

The instant it descended.

Whoooosh—

The heavens and earth themselves changed color!

Centered around Tyranitar's hundred-meter-tall body, an invisible yet violent force of natural law erupted outward in an instant!

The scorching, dry, sulfur-filled air surrounding the edge of the Norton Volcano Range was completely erased and rewritten in less than the blink of an eye.

An endless sea of sand appeared out of nowhere!

It was not dust blown up from the ground by the wind.

Rather, it seemed to condense directly from another dimension, from the depths of the earth itself or even from the void, forming an inexhaustible torrent of sand. Every single grain contained a faint trace of earth-element energy, giving it a heavy, dark-yellow hue.

In the span of a single breath a terrifying sandstorm, vast enough to engulf everything within sight, descended like an apocalyptic natural disaster!

The raging winds howled, raising towering waves of sand!

The sky was completely swallowed by an immense curtain of dust. The grayish-yellow storm resembled billions of frenzied locusts, relentlessly tearing at and grinding against everything in existence.

Visibility instantly dropped to less than ten meters.

The scorching volcanic air vanished completely, replaced by dry, coarse, suffocating sand that flooded every breath.

Even the light itself became dim and distorted, as though the entire world had been dragged into a hell of endless sand.

It was as if Tyranitar's very existence was the source of the sandstorm itself.

"Th-This... Th-This... This..."

Lou Gao was completely speechless.

Standing closest to Tyranitar, he bore the full force of the overwhelming visual impact and the drastic transformation of the environment.

The hundred-meter-tall monstrous beast that resembled a walking mountain...

The violent sandstorm that blanketed the heavens...

Everything before him had far surpassed the limits of his imagination.

Reflected within his crimson-gold divine eyes was Tyranitar's mountain-like silhouette.

His flame-filled gaze contained nothing but absolute shock, bewilderment, and even a trace of dazed disbelief as everything he thought he knew was overturned.

Was this really the same tiny Larvitar that had once sprawled across his forge, curiously pawing at red-hot pieces of metal?

Was this really the same Pupitar that had wrapped itself inside its hard shell and bounced around like an unstable bomb?

The colossal being before him radiated an ancient, primordial aura of destruction, capable of reshaping heaven and earth with every breath.

The Tyrant of the Desert, Tyranitar.
