At the same time, the power of Sand Strom Attack precisely acted upon the rock layers ahead, continuously stripping away and shattering the stone!
It was like a miniature yet terrifyingly powerful tunnel-boring machine!
With every swipe of its little claws, the sand infused with Soul Power acted like the sharpest file. Wherever it passed, the hard rock was effortlessly cut, ground down, and peeled away as if it were butter!
It didn't even need to transport the debris, broken stone powder and small fragments were cleverly pushed backward or compacted into the side walls under the control of Sand Attack, greatly increasing excavation efficiency!
Rumble… rustle…
The dull sounds of excavation and rolling rubble continuously echoed from deep within the mine tunnel.
At the entrance, large amounts of fresh stone powder were constantly being expelled by powerful streams of Soul Power, piling up into small mounds outside.
Lin Xia and Zhu Zhuqing stood not far from the entrance.
Lin Xia remained calm, his spiritual power fully extended as he closely sensed Larvitar's Soul Power fluctuations deep within the tunnel and the energy response of the mineral vein.
Zhu Zhuqing, on the other hand, was completely stunned.
She had never seen such an efficient, such "violent" method of excavation!
This was not something human hands could achieve!
The power erupting from Larvitar's small body, along with its effortless, precise control over earth-attributed Soul Power, once again reshaped her understanding.
"Lin Xia gege, Larvitar it's amazing!"
Zhu Zhuqing couldn't help but exclaim, her little face filled with disbelief.
"It just dug straight in like that? The stone is like sand in front of it?"
Hearing this, Lin Xia's lips curled into a proud smile.
"Yeah. That's its talent. Earth is its domain. That little guy is a professional when it comes to 'eating'."
Although he said that, Lin Xia also noticed something different.
Even without using the move "Dig," Larvitar was relying purely on Sand Strom Attack combined with Sand Power to achieve the same or even better, effect.
It seemed that with its increasing strength, even its control over power had improved significantly.
The excavation sounds from inside the tunnel grew deeper and heavier, indicating that Larvitar was advancing further underground.
Suddenly, a wave of energy far purer and more concentrated than before erupted from deep within the tunnel, mixed with a faint but chilling ancient sharpness!
At the same time, Larvitar's aura surged violently!
The dark-gold dragon pattern on its chest lit up instantly under the stimulation of this powerful earth energy!
It was no longer a faint glow, but flowing with molten red-gold light, like burning magma. A deep dragon roar faintly resonated within the Soul Power layer!
Larvitar seemed to be greatly nourished by this energy, and the sound of excavation became even more powerful and urgent!
"Lin Xia gege, did Larvitar find it?"
At Zhu Zhuqing's question, Lin Xia smiled and nodded.
"Looks like it did."
After saying that, Lin Xia took Zhu Zhuqing's hand and stepped directly into the tunnel dug by Larvitar.
The tunnel walls were freshly turned damp soil mixed with rock fragments, carrying a raw earthy scent, yet faintly within the air lingered a strange, cool and pure energy fluctuation.
"Lin Xia gege, this smell…"
Zhu Zhuqing couldn't help but whisper, her voice echoing softly within the narrow passage.
Her small hand was wrapped in Lin Xia's warm palm, that warmth becoming one of the few comforts in her frozen world.
She could feel that Lin Xia's body temperature seemed slightly higher than normal, like a piece of warm jade.
"Feeling it?"
Lin Xia turned his head and smiled at her, his dark-golden eyes flickering faintly in the dim light like stars hidden in the night sky.
"Looks like the little guy's nose didn't lie to us. That's the smell of something good. We're almost there, watch your step."
The tunnel was not completely dark. As they went deeper, a soft, cold glow gradually seeped from ahead, not the light of torches or Soul Tools, but something more like, stars themselves were breathing.
Even the ground beneath their feet had changed. It was no longer soil, but some kind of finely textured stone slab, cool to the touch.
After turning another corner, the view suddenly opened up.
A natural cavern appeared before them, not particularly vast, yet astonishingly radiant.
The ceiling, the walls, and even the entire floor were densely embedded with minerals that looked like stars scattered across a night sky.
The crystals varied in size and shape. Some were as small as pigeon eggs, others as large as grinding stones.
They all shared a deep, ink-blue base that seemed capable of absorbing all light. Yet within that abyssal blue, countless fine, sand-like starlights shimmered, flowed, and pulsed.
Every speck of starlight contained pure and immense energy. Together, they formed a flowing river of stars, illuminating the entire cavern in a dreamlike, surreal brilliance.
The air was filled with a cool, faintly sweet energy. Every breath felt like inhaling a stream of icy starlight, refreshing the mind and even subtly purifying and refining one's Soul Power.
"Wow…"
Even Zhu Zhuqing, despite her heavy emotions, couldn't help but be stunned by the breathtaking scene beyond mortal understanding. Her usually cold, lifeless black eyes were now clearly reflecting the lively starlight for the first time, shimmering with genuine amazement.
And at the center of the cavern, a small dark-red figure was busily at work.
Larvitar was crouched over a massive ore slab with especially brilliant starlight, digging energetically with its tiny claws. Its hardened magma-like armor scraped against the mineral with crisp "crack crack" sounds. Yet not a single spark flew instead, the rock was torn apart as easily as butter under a hot blade.
It tore off a fist-sized fragment of ore, one densely packed with starlight. Its crimson eyes gleamed with satisfaction as it opened its mouth and bit down, crunch!
Half the piece was gone in one bite.
The extremely hard ore shattered like crispy biscuits in its mouth. The shimmering starlight flowed down its throat and merged into its body.
With every swallow, the dark-gold dragon pattern and crimson phoenix-like pattern on its chest glowed brighter. Its aura also grew visibly deeper and more solid.
"Larvitar! Larvitar!"
Seeing Lin Xia and Zhu Zhuqing enter, Larvitar excitedly raised its claws and pointed at the endless star ores around them, as if saying:
"Look! I found it! So many! All tasty things!"
Lin Xia released Zhu Zhuqing's hand and stepped forward, crouching down to carefully examine the ore fragment Larvitar had bitten.
The ink-blue stone was crystal-clear. The broken surface revealed densely packed starlight, like billions of stars frozen within the deep sea. At its core, faint miniature nebulae seemed to slowly rotate, emitting an oppressive yet mesmerizing energy fluctuation.
"Phantom Star Glazed Crystal, it really is Phantom Star Glazed Crystal!"
