"Yes," Eve smiles as she puts the glass back down on the table. "Travis is being honored in his third year with the company-"
"It's just an annual thing at work, nothing about being honored," Travis cuts in. "a normal annual party."
"Yes, where people get to dress to the nines, get photographed, and also dance. It's a whole affair, nothing you would expect in a 'work' thing at all. It's very famous too in our circles."
Day just nods slowly, eyes fleeting from Eve to Travis, who is now clenching his jaw.
"Well, it sounds very wonderful," he says as he wipes his mouth. "Congratulations, Travis, I didn't know it would be your third year as the ceo."
"Oh, he is, and he has made such progress, too. " The company has been making waves since he lives and breathes work anyway," Eve laughs airily.
"Well," Day smiles as he puts his napkin on the table. "If you will excuse me, I am just going to the powder room. Excuse me."
