An unwanted encounter finally took place when Oliver saw Alastair with Noel and Silas at a café in the amusement park. Alastair had previously claimed he was abroad and wasn't in Dormania or Mocoado.
It turned out that was just a lie so he wouldn't have to run into Oliver right then. But he'd forgotten that this was still the same city where Oliver lived, and sooner or later, they were bound to run into each other.
"Didn't you say you were out of the country? Why didn't you tell me you were in Mocoado right now?" Oliver asked him.
"I was indeed abroad before. But I just got back and came here for other business matters. I don't need to tell you where I went," Alastair replied calmly and with a cold demeanor.
This underscored the distance between the two of them to Noel, who was sitting with them.
