Chapter 232: 251. A Man Cannot, or at Least Should Not
"Xiao… Xiao Wu…"
"Shh, don't talk," Xiao Wu pressed a finger to her lips and said softly, "Ah San giegie, would you dance with Xiao Wu… to this beautiful melody?"
"I—yes, I would," Tang San stammered eagerly. He'd long dreamed of a moment like this. Ever since that useless Yu Xiaogang delayed their time together back at Nuoding City, he hadn't shared such an intimate moment with Xiao Wu again.
Xiao Wu reached out her hand; Tang San, trembling, placed his hand in hers.
Before long, both of them were lost in the ethereal rhythm surrounding them.
"Du lu lu lu lu lu du lu lu lu lu!"
Meanwhile, Dai Mubai, Oscar, Ma Hongjun, and another Xiao Wu awakened somewhere else.
Dai Mubai looked around. "Where's Ah San?"
They froze. Without Tang San—the child of destiny—their protection was gone. With him, fortune followed; without him, misfortune was certain.
"Ah San! Where are you, Ah San!" they all shouted into the forest.
Xiao Wu sniffed the air lightly and said, "Stop shouting. He's not nearby."
"Then what now?" Dai Mubai asked anxiously.
"Mu Bai giegie, Oscar giegie, Hongjun giegie… don't you think this place is so beautiful?" Xiao Wu's voice turned soft and alluring as she looked at them.
The three glanced around—indeed, it was breathtaking.
"Doesn't it seem like the perfect place for cultivation?" Xiao Wu said again, her gaze half-lidded and charming.
Immediately, desire flared in their hearts. Ma Hongjun's evil fire burned especially bright.
"Wh-what kind of cultivation are you talking about, exactly?" Dai Mubai swallowed hard.
"Of course it's proper cultivation," Xiao Wu said sweetly. "We share a Martial Spirit Fusion Skill. Training together is completely proper, isn't it?"
"But… what if that Ah San kid shows up in the middle of it?" Oscar asked, clinging to a shred of reason.
"That's easy~" Xiao Wu giggled. "As soon as Tang San gets close, I'll smell him a mile away. I'll warn you."
"Well, in that case, we can't waste time," Dai Mubai said eagerly. "The sooner we start cultivating, the better!"
"Right, more training, more progress!" Ma Hongjun said, completely losing control to his evil fire.
And so, Xiao Wu and the three men began their "serious" (massive lie) Martial Spirit Fusion training session.
Time blurred. At last, Ma Hongjun collapsed, utterly exhausted.
Flushed and radiant, Xiao Wu tidied up the aftermath. Suddenly, she felt something—an unseen voice calling to her from deeper within the Sunset Forest.
Following the call, she arrived at a quiet glade.
There, a tall woman stood with her back to Xiao Wu. Blue Silver Grass grew wildly around her, bowing toward her as if in reverence.
When the woman turned around, Xiao Wu immediately recognized her. "You're… the Blue Silver Emperor!"
Though they hadn't been close, Xiao Wu knew her well. Among the few surviving hundred-thousand-year spirit beasts in the Star Dou Forest, this woman was famous.
"Hello, Xiao Wu," the woman said gently. "My name is Ah Yin. Like you, I was once a hundred-thousand-year soul beast. And Tang San… is my son."
At those words, Xiao Wu stiffened. Was Ah Yin here to settle accounts with her? Xiao Wu's muscles tensed, ready to flee if things went wrong.
Elsewhere, Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun eventually woke up, groggy and confused.
"I remember… training with Xiao Wu for a long, long time," Dai Mubai muttered.
"Yeah," said Ma Hongjun.
"Wait a sec—where's Tang San?" Oscar blinked.
"No need to look for him," Xiao Wu replied calmly, reappearing. "Tang San wasn't here."
"Then we should find him," Dai Mubai said.
The four of them set off together to search for Tang San.
At that same moment, Tang San lay utterly drained but fully satisfied, holding "Xiao Wu" in his arms, surrounded by a cheerful, lilting song.
"Ah Kuli hou ya hou ben~~~
Di da lu ben ga hou da hei~~~
Ge sei ge hong ge ou lai ya ei~~~
Ya li ge sei hou da hei~~~
Du lu lu lu lu lu du lu lu lu~~~"
From the depths of the jungle came rustling footsteps. Soon after, the real Xiao Wu and her companions emerged from the thick foliage.
"Eek—!" Xiao Wu yelped at the sight before her, then quickly covered her face, peeking through her fingers.
Even Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun—men who'd seen plenty—felt their eyes burn at the obscene scene in front of them.
"Ah San… you…"
"Man cannot—at least, should not," Oscar said grimly.
Tang San turned his head toward the voices, stunned to see Dai Mubai, Ma Hongjun, Oscar—and Xiao Wu?
Xiao Wu was standing right there… then who was he holding?
A slimy, fishy smell reached him as a scarlet, forked tongue flicked against his face.
He looked down—and froze.
The "Xiao Wu" in his arms was gone. In her place sprawled a massive lizard, its eyes full of despair and fury.
So, the "Xiao Wu" he had been with… was a giant lizard.
Tang San's world shattered. He let go instantly, and the creature slipped free, crawling away into the jungle with a heartbroken roar.
Lost and pale, Tang San staggered toward the real Xiao Wu, trying to explain. "Xiao Wu, I…"
"Don't touch me. Disgusting," Xiao Wu spat coldly.
The words cut deeper than any blade. Tang San's heart ached with unbearable pain. He had vowed to save his virginity for Xiao Wu—and now...
"Ah San, damn," Dai Mubai said, unable to hold back a laugh. He raised his thumb. "That was a lizard, man. A lizard! You're really something."
"Ah San, even if you cheat, couldn't you at least pick a person?" Oscar added. "Are you saying our Xiao Wu isn't even as good as a giant lizard?"
"Ah San," Ma Hongjun chimed in mock-seriously, "as a bystander, I have to say—you've gone too far. Have you no shame? Poor Xiao Wu!"
In an instant, a wave of guilt washed over Tang San. Shame, regret, heartbreak—all mixed into one heavy mass pressing on his chest.
"I—" he began weakly.
"Enough. Don't explain," Xiao Wu said with disgust.
Seeing her expression, Tang San's anguish twisted into fury. That illusion—this humiliation—it couldn't be real.
Such a scenario had never existed in his past life. Someone must have orchestrated it—the reborn agents of Spirit Hall!
"Damn it!" Tang San's eyes blazed with hatred. "To deceive me, Tang San, a God King… to make me lose my purity to a beast and earn Xiao Wu's hatred—you've crossed the line. You've sealed your own death."
