Chapter 167: Unless Something Unexpected Happens, Only Shrek Should Be in the Dragon Valley!

At that moment, Long Yue was filled with awe and confusion.

Beyond the deep sorrow rising from within his heart, he could faintly hear a distant voice calling to him.

While everyone else felt their power suppressed, he instead sensed his own growing stronger.

That seemed… unfair.

"Let's move," he said at last. "There are real dragon soul bones buried in this valley. If we can find even one, we'll make a fortune."

And since Long Yue could still use his martial soul, it gave them at least one advantage.

The Dragon Valley's gravity was half again stronger than that of Star Luo Continent. Moving under such pressure, especially with their strength limited, was no small challenge.

The group pressed on. The environment felt alien and surreal. The skies were filled with clouds of every color—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet—

Each one shimmering faintly, emanating the gentle pulse of draconic energy.

Through his senses, Long Yue could feel those clouds brimming with a familiar essence. Within them, faint outlines of dragons stirred.

"Roar!"

Unable to restrain himself, Long Yue tilted his head back and let out a powerful shout.

As his Mountain Dragon King martial soul manifested behind him, the clouds themselves seemed to respond.

Massive waves of multicolored mist surged toward him.

"What the—what is that?!" Dai Yueyan exclaimed, thinking they were under attack.

But the clouds didn't strike—they flowed into Long Yue's body instead, weaving through him as if returning to their home.

"Wait! Don't come closer!" Long Yue shouted quickly.

"This is draconic heaven-and-earth energy! If your martial soul isn't of the dragon race, touching it could hurt you!"

The unique energy continued feeding his body, refining his strength in waves.

Na'er's eyes gleamed. Without hesitation, she released her own martial soul.

"The Silver Dragon Spear!"

A long, elegant spear of pure silver light appeared in her hand, draconic patterns etched across its shaft.

Instantly, the streams of clouds that had been pouring into Long Yue turned and began flowing into her spear instead.

"What the…!" Dai Yueyan gaped.

Their soul power hadn't risen—but their aura, their very limits, were expanding dramatically.

The clouds passed through their bodies, reemerging tinted silver and earthy brown before drifting skyward once again.

Silver dominated—an omen of the spear's endless pull.

The pair walked on, absorbing energy as they went, until the group reached an expansive plain.

"Roar!!"

A deep, thunderous growl echoed through the valley.

Everyone tensed as a massive shape emerged ahead—a dragon.

"There are living things here? I thought this place was empty!"

"No!" Na'er exclaimed. "That's not alive—it's an energy construct."

The dragon was wingless, its body translucent gray, standing on two massive claws.

It wasn't a true creature, just an entity made entirely from condensed energy.

But what kind of energy could manifest a being like that?

And with their martial souls sealed, how could they fight it?

"This isn't good!"

"Stand back—I'll handle it!" Long Yue stepped forward, but Na'er moved faster.

Her Silver Dragon Spear whistled through the air and struck the energy-dragon directly between its eyes.

"ROAR!"

With a mournful cry, its luminous form shattered—its essence flowing into the Silver Dragon Spear.

"It's being absorbed!"

"Those two hit the jackpot!"

Everyone's eyes burned with envy.

For them, the valley was a place of peril.

But for Na'er and Long Yue—it was a paradise, a realm made to strengthen them.

"If only I had a dragon martial soul…" someone muttered.

But even lesser draconic souls wouldn't do.

One of them was the Silver Dragon King—

The other, the Mountain Dragon King—

Both were among the highest of true dragons.

"Then what are we waiting for? Keep absorbing!" Long Yue laughed wildly, crouching down and slamming his fist into the earth. His purple soul ring shone.

"First soul skill—Mountains and Rivers!"

The once-flat plain cracked apart, countless jagged peaks bursting upward like blades piercing the sky.

As the stone spires rose, torrents of dragon-tinted clouds descended and poured into them.

Na'er refused to be outdone.

"This might be my only chance to surpass Gu Yue!"

The Dragon Tomb—the resting place of all dragonkind.

She would seize this moment.

"Let's train too," Dai Yueyan urged.

The others, though burning with envy, knew this place was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Dai Yueyan summarized calmly, "The clouds in the sky are the manifestation of dragon souls. They're drawn to Long Yue and Na'er because of their pure dragon martial souls. The rest of us can still absorb some of the energy within them—it'll strengthen our attributes."

His Evil Eyed White Tiger martial soul relied on darkness and psychic essence; absorbing clouds of matching attribute could enhance his foundations immensely.

Na'er and Long Yue, however, needed no such effort.

The clouds themselves would come to them, guided by instinctive reverence for true dragons.

It was infuriating…but that was life.

"The energy-dragon we fought earlier—it must have been a dragon soul," Dai Yueyan continued. "The clouds are safe, but dragon souls contain fighting will. Defeat them, and you absorb their essence. Though weaker than the clouds' refined energy, their draconic aura strengthens the body itself."

It was common knowledge that the dragon race was defined by their physical might.

Slaying and absorbing dragon souls, therefore, would temper the body beyond imagination.

"In short, Dragon Valley is full of treasures everywhere you step!"

"Too bad we can't reach the deepest core," someone sighed. "I've heard there's a Dragon Tomb even deeper inside—guarded by genuine draconic souls, each beyond our power to face."

"But if we somehow found a true dragon soul bone…"

He shivered at the thought. "That would be priceless."

Even as the Star Luo Empire's Crown Prince, Dai Yueyan had never dreamed of wielding such treasure.

Not even Long Yue himself would have such luxury.

"Dragon Tomb…" Na'er murmured, her eyes flickering.

Something ahead—something unseen—was calling to her. Drawing her in.

It might be the power she needed to finally surpass Gu Yue.

"Only they can use their martial souls here," Dai Yueyan said thoughtfully. "Even other dragon-type souls would be suppressed. Only true dragons can act freely."

But true dragon martial souls were exceedingly rare.

Even a Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon wouldn't reign supreme here—

Only a higher-order lineage like the Bright Dragon King would.

"Looks like we might really be able to step into the Dragon Tomb."

"Good thing this valley's sealed," another student said. "Elder Wu guards the entrance. No one else should be able to enter."

"Unless something impossible happens, we're the only ones in Dragon Valley."
