Chapter 206: Tang Hao's Sacrifice to the Evil God

Did gods truly exist in this world?

There were always rumors that the Spirit Hall served under the Angel God, but no one had ever witnessed the deity manifest in person.

Thus, the story of the Angel God remained unverified legend.

Tang Hao never believed in so-called gods. Even when Yu Xiaogang and Tang San swore by their existence, he only thought the two had been deceived.

Stepping into the magic circle Yu Xiaogang had drawn, Tang Hao's body tensed. He was determined to see what kind of trickery this really was.

"O great God of Primordials…" Tang Hao recited solemnly, following the incantation Yu Xiaogang had given him.

The magic circle on the ground began to glow, and the flesh of the spirit beasts slowly melted into blood under the crimson light, turning into streams of red energy.

Tang Hao focused intensely on the process, his expression gradually darkening.

He couldn't understand how the corpses were dissolving. The eerie crimson light carried a deeply sinister aura.

It wasn't spirit power, nor mental energy—it was a force he had never felt before.

Before he could analyze it further, the blood-colored streams surged toward him.

Bathed in that blood-red radiance, Tang Hao's eyes widened in shock. His spirit power… was truly increasing!

The growth was small, but it was real.

He was a level 95 Titled Douluo.

At such a level, ascension through training alone was nearly impossible. Every advancement for a Titled Douluo required profound understanding and enlightenment.

Tang Hao had lingered at the 95th level bottleneck for years. But now, through this Blood Demon Ritual, that barrier seemed to be fading away.

The streams of red energy continued flowing into him, and his spirit power climbed faster and faster. When all the energy had been absorbed, Tang Hao's face lit up in excitement.

He hadn't broken through to the next level yet, but his upper limit had clearly risen—the bottleneck was gone.

The improvement might seem small, but for someone like him, it was astonishing.

"Your Excellency, how do you feel?" Yu Xiaogang asked respectfully.

A smug pride flashed in his eyes. Tang Hao's reaction told him everything he needed to know—the mighty Haotian Douluo had been awed by the Primordial God's power.

"It's not bad," Tang Hao admitted with a nod. The formation had far exceeded his expectations.

The energy it generated was pure and clean, free from any taint, and left no side effects.

"It's powerful indeed. But as for this God of Primordials you speak of, I haven't seen him, so I can't believe he truly exists," Tang Hao said flatly.

Yu Xiaogang froze, about to reply, but Tang Hao cut him off.

"I know what you're going to say. I don't want to discuss gods right now. The most important thing is to restore Xiao San's Haotian Hammer." Tang Hao's tone grew firm.

Flender and Yu Xiaogang exchanged uncertain glances, then turned to look at Tang San.

They had witnessed Luo Ling cripple Tang San's Haotian Hammer. Repairing a destroyed martial spirit was no easy task.

Silence filled the cave.

"I'll take Xiao San somewhere to awaken his Blue Silver Grass again. You two focus on finding a way to restore a martial spirit. We'll meet later in Heaven Dou City." Tang Hao made his decision.

"The Blue Silver Grass… a second awakening?" Yu Xiaogang asked, shocked. Such a thing was almost impossible, yet Tang Hao spoke as if it were certain.

"Yes," Tang Hao nodded. "The second awakening of the Blue Silver Grass. The key to twin martial spirits is the similarity in quality between the two spirits."

"Xiao San's second martial spirit is the Haotian Hammer, the greatest weapon spirit in existence. Do you think his Blue Silver Grass could be an ordinary one?"

Yu Xiaogang's eyes widened again. He had never realized that twin spirits required such compatibility.

Seeing Yu Xiaogang's blank stare, Tang Hao frowned slightly.

If his so-called "Master" didn't even know the fundamental nature of twin spirits, then those famous 'theories' of his were almost certainly plagiarized.

How could he ever have trusted Xiao San to this man...?

A flash of regret passed through Tang Hao's eyes, but he didn't say more. Grabbing Tang San by the arm, he said, "Do as I said. I'll take Xiao San now."

Without waiting for a reply, Tang Hao lifted Tang San and took to the skies, vanishing toward the horizon.

Back in Spirit City.

Hu Liena stood quietly, watching Luo Ling's departing carriage until it vanished from sight. A trace of melancholy lingered in her heart before her expression hardened with resolve.

She turned and walked into the Pope's Hall, where Bibi Dong sat lazily on the throne.

Hu Liena stepped forward and bowed slightly.

"Teacher, I wish to go to the City of Slaughter," she said in a calm but determined voice.

Bibi Dong's eyes narrowed at the words City of Slaughter. "Nana, do you know what you're saying?"

"I do, Teacher. I want to go to the City of Slaughter," Hu Liena repeated firmly.

"Do you even know what that place is?" Bibi Dong's tone sharpened.

"I know," Hu Liena said, biting her lip but keeping her gaze steady. "It's a prison for evil spirit masters… but I want to become stronger!"

"Why?" Bibi Dong asked, genuinely puzzled.

"I want to become strong enough to stand beside Luo Ling—to help him," Hu Liena answered honestly.

She had always known she and Luo Ling were worlds apart, but after the tournament, the gap between them had become painfully clear. She wanted to change that. She wanted to be someone who could stand proudly at his side.

"You realize that once you enter the City of Slaughter, not even I can protect you? You'll be on your own there. That city is filled with killers, spirit skills are useless, and only spirit bone abilities work at all. Even knowing that, do you still wish to go?" Bibi Dong's voice trembled with restrained concern.

She knew the City of Slaughter better than anyone—because she had once walked out of it alive. It was a nightmare of blood and despair.

Hu Liena had become as dear to her as her own daughter. The thought of sending her there made her heart ache.

"Teacher, I understand everything you've said," Hu Liena replied softly. "But I still choose to go."

The Pope's Hall fell silent. Bibi Dong studied the girl for a long time before letting out a weary sigh.

"Then promise me this—come back alive," she said at last, her voice low and heavy.

In the end, she granted Hu Liena's request.
