Why was he here? I couldn't understand why he was here. Did Kastiel tell him I was volunteering here? Did he tell Kastiel he was coming here? I doubted that. If he had told Kastiel, I would have known. Kastiel would have told me. He always told me things like that.

The thought made my stomach clench. The idea that Roma had somehow found out where I was going and followed me here—or worse, that Kastiel had mentioned it in passing and Roma had taken it upon himself to show up—made me feel sick. I wanted to ask Kastiel, but that would mean admitting that Roma was getting under my skin. That I was thinking about him. That I was letting him affect me.

And I didn't want to give Roma that satisfaction.
