Within the lands of the elves...
Near the Sacred Tree...
The White Stag lay peacefully upon the lush green grass, fast asleep as the Sacred Tree's gentle aura bathed the surroundings in its tranquil light.
But then...
Suddenly...
His eyes opened.
He slowly rose to his feet.
Then he lifted his head and looked toward a distant horizon, his expression changing completely.
He thought to himself,
"The Black Stag..."
"He has appeared."
The moment those words crossed his mind...
He vanished.
In the very next instant...
He appeared near the borders of the Elven Lands.
The moment he looked ahead...
His eyes widened.
Standing before him...
was the Dark Elf Army.
One hundred thousand Dark Elves.
Behind them marched countless dark creatures born of the shadows, advancing in slow, disciplined formation toward the Elven Lands under the cover of night.
The White Stag gazed at the massive army.
Then a pure white aura burst forth from his body.
In the next instant...
He transformed into a streak of brilliant white light and shot across the sky above the army at incredible speed.
He knew all too well...
that every Elven army was currently fighting on the Fallen Islands alongside the Elven Saint, the Elders, and the Nobles.
Because of that...
Only he remained to protect the Elven Lands...
and the Sacred Tree.
The White Stag stood in the sky as though walking upon the air itself.
He looked down at the Dark Elf Army and declared in a calm voice filled with overwhelming authority,
"We defeated you once before."
"And nothing has changed."
The instant he finished speaking...
An immense surge of power erupted from his antlers.
A dazzling white radiance illuminated the entire sky.
Within seconds...
The darkness of the night disappeared.
The heavens were transformed into a brilliant white day.
Then dozens of colossal pillars of light descended from the sky, crashing toward the Dark Elf Army and their shadowy creatures.
The Dark Elf Saint raised her head toward the heavens.
She calmly watched the incoming attack.
A cold smile spread across her face.
She said,
"You will never enjoy the night..."
"So long as we exist."
She raised one hand.
At that very moment...
The shadows of every Dark Elf soldier began to move.
From each shadow, a long black arrow took shape.
In a single instant...
Thousands of black arrows shot into the sky.
They collided with the pillars of light.
The heavens trembled violently as countless explosions of light erupted across the sky.
The White Stag frowned slightly.
He had expected them to withstand his attack.
But he had assumed it would be the Black Stag himself who would stop it...
Not the Dark Elf Saint.
His frown deepened.
Then he sensed something strange.
The reason he had come here...
was because he had felt the aura of the Black Stag.
And yet...
The Black Stag still had not appeared.
Unease crept into his heart.
He carefully scanned his surroundings.
Then he thought,
"Is he planning something else?"
He refused to give his enemy any more time.
So he decided to unleash an even stronger attack...
One powerful enough to force the Black Stag to reveal himself, no matter what scheme he was preparing.
The moment he made his decision...
A terrifying white aura exploded from his body.
The sky shone so brightly that merely looking at it became painful.
Had anyone looked toward the White Stag at that moment...
They would have seen nothing but a gigantic sphere of pure white light.
His body disappeared completely within it.
He could no longer be seen.
He began gathering his power.
The white aura continued to condense until it compressed the very air around it.
Then he opened his mouth and declared in a majestic voice,
"Sacred Arrow."
The moment he uttered the name of the technique...
The immense white energy condensed into a colossal arrow the size of an entire mountain.
It shone like a fragment of the sun itself.
Then it shot toward the Dark Elf Army at terrifying speed.
Watching the arrow descend, the White Stag said,
"If you wish to remain hidden, Black Stag..."
"Then I'll force you to reveal yourself."
But...
Just before the Sacred Arrow reached its target...
The Dark Elf Saint raised both hands.
She smiled mockingly and said,
"Impressive..."
"Truly impressive."
"But..."
"Is that all you've got?"
The instant she finished speaking...
She brought her hands together.
Then knelt upon the ground.
She slammed both palms against the earth and declared in a cold voice,
"Land of Shadows."
The moment she spoke the technique's name...
A vast sea of black shadows spread beneath every Dark Elf soldier and every dark creature.
The instant the shadows touched them...
They sank into the darkness and vanished completely.
Within mere moments...
The entire army disappeared.
The Dark Elf Saint vanished along with them.
Not a single soul remained on the battlefield.
Less than a second later...
The Sacred Arrow struck the ground.
A colossal explosion erupted.
The entire region shook violently.
The earth split apart for miles.
A devastating shockwave swept across the land, uprooting forests, flattening hills, and sending powerful tremors through the battlefield for several long moments.
When the storm finally subsided...
And the dust gradually settled...
The White Stag stared at the empty land before him.
He furrowed his brows in confusion.
Then he quietly muttered,
"Did they..."
"...escape?"
