Chloe never expected that Caleb and Luna Sutton had such a past; jealousy nearly drove her mad, her nails digging deep into her palms.
She was terrified Caleb would be taken away by Luna Sutton, even more afraid he'd abandon her completely.
"Caleb..."
With tear-filled eyes, she clutched the hem of his clothing, her voice choked, "Don't worry about me, I... I deserve everything I got..."
Caleb lowered his head to gaze at her, golden tiger eyes swirling with agony and inner conflict.
He knew Chloe was putting on a show, but even so, he still couldn't bring himself to be heartless and leave her behind.
Luna watched coldly from the side, suddenly sneering, "Snowy, is someone like her really worth it for you?"
Caleb was silent for a moment, then finally said quietly, "There's no such thing as worth it or not; love is about giving. You can only say I loved the wrong person."
