Corbin Crowley lowered his head to look at Luna Sutton. Remembering how their good moment had been interrupted, he swept his long arms around her, scooping her up horizontally. His voice was low and husky, "Luna, it's late. We should head back."
With that, he strode off in the direction of the carefully prepared "love nest" deep in the woods.
Luna Sutton wrapped her arms around his neck, her cheeks flushing red. How could she not know what he had in mind?
She glared at him playfully but didn't struggle, allowing herself to be carried.
It wasn't the first time, after all—and besides, she rather enjoyed it.
Corbin wasn't the least bit annoyed by her glare. Instead, a low chuckle rumbled from his throat, and his steps grew even quicker.
The other beastmen watched the two of them leave, all of them simultaneously feeling a wave of jealousy rise in their hearts.
But they also knew—tonight belonged to Corbin.
