The night wind brushed past, carrying a hint of chill, blowing through the communal cave entrance and dispersing the stale air inside.
The cave was extremely dim, only a bit of moonlight shining in, lighting up a corner and revealing faces full of mockery, disdain, and disgust, as all kinds of nasty remarks filled the air.
"Heard she lost her memory?"
"I think she's just faking it because she saw there was no escape and was afraid the leader would kill her when she got caught. So she's pretending to forget everything."
"Yeah, looks fake to me too."
"The leader's way too merciful, actually letting her off."
"Doesn't she have a bunch of lovers? Why aren't they here to save her?"
