Luna's mouth twitched hard. She'd just seen a worried look in his eyes and was honestly a bit moved, but now all that feeling had completely vanished.
This damn man seriously doesn't know how to talk.
She glanced at Corbin Crowley and saw that he'd already stood up, his gaze sweeping around, clearly investigating the situation they were in.
She also looked around the area.
She realized they seemed to be in a valley, surrounded on all sides by towering cliffs that reached into the clouds. Green vines crawled all over the cliff faces, making the place look full of vitality.
At the moment, she and Corbin were right by the riverbank in this valley. The water of the Umbraflow came gushing out from a crack in the stone wall, forming a small waterfall, its rushing sound especially clear in the quiet valley.
The scenery here was beautiful, like a paradise forgotten by the world.
