Ethan nodded once.
Everyone in the room looked at him with surprise—even Sharon raised an eyebrow slightly. Strom remained silent, but he gave a small nod as if he accepted what Ethan was saying.
"So you're saying the Arashikage clan has information about Asgard… and they knew they were actually aliens from another world?" Coulson asked slowly.
Ethan nodded. "Yes. The Arashikage called them 'Holy Imperial Humans'—a higher evolution of humans."
He continued speaking calmly, making up the story as he went.
"Long ago, Odin came to Earth as a conqueror," Ethan said. "He wasn't peaceful back then. He came with his daughter Hela, and they tried to conquer many realms—including Earth, which they called Midgard."
Jane leaned forward slightly, listening carefully.
"But Earth had its own protector," Ethan continued. "A Sorcerer Supreme. That person drove Odin away and forced him to retreat from Earth."
"How powerful is the Sorcerer Supreme if he or she could drive away a god?" Jane asked, surprised.
"Odin also had the Tesseract with him—and his daughter Hela, who was extremely powerful, someone even Odin was wary of," Ethan replied. "But the Sorcerer Supreme possessed the Eye of Agamotto, an artifact on the same level as the Tesseract."
"So the Sorcerer Supreme managed to drive Odin away, and eventually a peace treaty was signed between the two realms."
Coulson's eyes narrowed slightly. "And the Tesseract was left here? If so, how did Hydra find it later?"
"The cube was left behind during that time," Ethan nodded. "The Sorcerer Supreme hid it so no one could use its power. It stayed hidden for a long time… until it was discovered again in modern history."
The room grew quiet as everyone processed the information.
Darcy looked between Ethan and the unconscious Thor. "So… you're saying he's basically an alien prince who got grounded by his dad?"
Ethan shrugged. "That's one way to put it."
Just then, the medical drone gave a soft beep.
Sharon looked at the readings. "His brain activity is increasing. He's waking up."
A few seconds later, Thor groaned and slowly opened his eyes. He looked around the unfamiliar room, confused for a moment—then suddenly tried to sit up.
"Where… am I?" he asked.
Ethan stepped forward calmly. "You're safe. You tried to grab the hammer and got knocked out by the energy field."
Thor froze. "Mjolnir… where is it?"
"Still outside," Ethan replied. "Exactly where it landed."
Thor pushed himself up, ignoring the dizziness. His eyes moved across the room—Coulson, Jane, Erik, Darcy—then finally stopped on Ethan.
"You… who are you?" Thor asked, staring directly into Ethan's eyes. "How can a Midgardian be this powerful?"
Everyone in the room looked confused.
"Do you have superpowers now?" Coulson asked.
Ethan shrugged casually. "I don't know what he's talking about."
Thor frowned slightly. "Your aura… it feels similar to those who command the power of death. Like the beings of Niflheim."
Ethan raised an eyebrow, pretending to be confused while thinking to himself that Thor might be sensing the power he gained from the Quan Chi template.
"Hmm… do I have some hidden talent or something?" Ethan muttered out loud, acting surprised.
He waved his hand dismissively. "Anyway, let's leave that aside. Who are you, and how did you end up here like this?" Ethan asked calmly.
Thor looked down for a moment, his expression heavy.
"I… I was punished by my father," he said quietly.
The room grew silent.
"Punished?" Jane asked as she looked at Ethan and it was not only her but others too as earlier Ethan said Thor might have been punished and banished here.
Thor nodded slowly. "I was arrogant. I disobeyed him. I sought war when peace was required… so he stripped me of my power and cast me out to Midgard."
Darcy blinked. "So… you really did get grounded."
Erik rubbed his forehead. "This is still insane to hear out loud…"
Coulson watched Thor carefully. "And the hammer?"
Thor sighed "Mjolnir was taken from me. My father said… only the worthy may lift it now."
Ethan crossed his arms, studying him. "So right now, you're basically human?"
Thor hesitated… then nodded once. "Yes."
Sharon spoke calmly from the side. "Your physical readings are still far above human average—but your energy output is extremely low compared to earlier scans near the crater."
Thor looked at her, confused. "You speak strange words, woman."
"She means you're weak now," Darcy whispered.
Jane elbowed her immediately.
Ethan looked at Thor for a moment. "Do you want to try lifting the hammer again?" he asked calmly.
Thor nodded without hesitation. "I need to know if I am still worthy."
Ethan gave a small nod. "Alright then. Let's go see."
He turned and began walking toward the crater, Thor following closely behind. Sharon tapped her tablet as they stepped outside, and the protective energy field around the hammer slowly faded away with a low hum.
The night air was cool, the desert quiet except for the sound of their footsteps on the sand. Coulson, Jane, Erik, Darcy, and the guards followed at a distance, watching carefully.
They stopped a few meters away from the hammer.
"There it is," Ethan said simply, stepping aside. "Go ahead."
Thor walked forward slowly. His expression grew serious as he approached Mjolnir. For a moment, he just stood there, staring at it—eyes full of determination and doubt.
He took a deep breath… then wrapped his hand around the handle.
Everyone watched in silence.
Thor pulled.
Nothing happened.
He frowned and tightened his grip, using both hands now. Muscles strained, his feet dug into the sand as he tried harder.
The hammer didn't move even a millimeter.
A look of disbelief crossed his face. He tried again—harder this time—letting out a frustrated shout as he put all his strength into it.
Still nothing.
Slowly… his strength faded.
Thor released the handle and took a step back. His shoulders dropped, and the fight left his eyes.
"…I am no longer worthy," he said quietly.
" Why father!!!?! " Thor roared towards the sky.
The desert fell silent.
Jane looked at him with sympathy, while Darcy shifted awkwardly. Even Coulson didn't say anything.
Ethan studied Thor for a moment, then spoke calmly. "Or maybe… this is just part of your test."
Thor didn't respond. He just stared at the hammer, looking lost.
After a few seconds, Ethan gestured toward the building. "Come on. Standing here all night won't change anything. Let's go back inside."
Thor hesitated… then nodded slowly.
As they walked away from the crater, Ethan glanced back once at the hammer—his eyes thoughtful—before following the others back toward the temporary Arasaka structure.
