The prisoners were sent out to collect items to survive brutal snow
Storm arriving.ash went to the right not seeing much and and also didn't
Have an axe to cut wood.
He could've escaped but them problem was he would probably
Be eaten by monsters so it's better to just stick the a group.
Then he bent down looking for sticks
And realized that he could see much clearer like everything was brighter. He groaned this abilities was pretty bad.
Then he saw three sticks up ahead and grabbed them
And started walking back to the checkpoint
And placed them on the floor and went back to get
More and he decided to pick up bigger ones
To push himself to get stronger.
First he struggled but in the end he was able to
Get it to the stern men and he imagined how he'd escape if he was free
As night approached all the prisoners and the stern spent the night in the cave but the stern men stayed on a different side of the cave away from the prisoners
And one of the prisoners sighed taking a cup of water in his and and swirled gentle then took a sip.
Then a man with a scar on his eye took a bite out of his bread then broke the silence "so what was everyone's life before this?" His curious
Tone sparked conversation. The soft spoken man spoke up first "well I was just cleaning my home when the mark appeared on my neck,so that's how it all happened" He laughed nervously then took bite of his bread.
Then the scar eyed man looked ash "what did you do before you got here?"
The man asked ash "well I was at my mansion, when it appeared"
Of course it was a lie but this lie would make them think he would definitely get a blessing "wow man" the man said due to his lie he was definitely one of the most important people in the cave.
"I guess we got our leader now" the scar eyed man said pointing
To ash "do you guys have that thing over your head?"
Everyone nodded "well mine says punching bag"
The scar eyes man said but everyone realized they had the thing over they're head to but no one could see the other over they're head.
So everyone sat in silence for a while listening to the wind
Blow and the hard hits of the snow as the fire sizzling
Made the cave sound nice a toasty the cuffs shook at every move
While everyone slept ash didn't he needed to stay alarm for anything threat.
He could see for miles like he was a human flashlight yet no one had to deal this beside him so

So the next day everyone woke up.

Then all the prisoners looked at each other after waking up

And started to make themselves something to eat while the prisoners ate bread but ash still didn't eat anything until hunger got the better andhe devours the bread.
Mere mortals could never beat the forest king

So there was no point in eating unless you were going to try to run away
The forest kings roars shook the mountain.
The to stern men went back to they're corner to eat before they headed out
To the next checkpoint so once the finished they're food they all got ready to go "this blizzard has finally cooled off so for the time until it starts again we have to go pigs" one of the stern men said as they walked outside.
The snow went up to the ankles the cuffs clanging every time ash
Walked the cold cuffs against wrist felt like an ice shard piercing his wrist
"We have officially passed the hollow part of the mountain"
The snarling stern man said that was also the spot ash placed those crumbs in so he also decided to keep that in mind "if anyone were to fall through that hollow part if the mountain the water under it would disintegrate" the snarling man said while chuckling.
Ashes body felt like a leaf in the wind as they approached the next checkpoint

The hours that followed was ash laying down keeping his eyes wide open observing the other prisoners while the stern ment sat in the corner sleeping
And the prisoners eating and drinking as the prisoners got ready for bed as they talked "so guys if yall survive what would yall do?"

And slow growl and the monster broke down the cave entrance
Allowing everyone to see it clearly.
