The Supreme Kai's expression was extremely grave.
"Everyone, now that we know the location, we must infiltrate carefully and avoid being detected!"
"Babidi's spaceship is protected by a powerful magical barrier. If he senses us, he might immediately revive Majin Buu ahead of schedule!"
He warned them anxiously.
"Sneak in?"
Goku scratched his head, clearly confused.
"Why go through all that trouble?"
"Exactly."
From the corner, Vegeta—who had been silent—let out a cold snort, arms crossed.
"We are Saiyans, not sneaky mice."
"Just fly over there, drag that broken ship out of the ground, and destroy it along with everyone inside."
"But—"
The Supreme Kai tried to argue again.
"Alright, alright, it's settled!"
Goku was already fired up. He looked at Vegeta, competitive flames burning in his eyes.
"The Eastern Desert, right? Vegeta, let's race and see who gets there first!"
"Hmph. Boring."
"You're doomed, Kakarot."
Whoosh!
Before he even finished speaking, Vegeta had already transformed into a streak of white light and shot off toward the east.
"Hey! That's cheating!"
Goku shouted and immediately powered up, chasing after him.
"Wait for us!"
Gohan and Krillin hurriedly followed.
Piccolo sighed and also turned into a beam of light, flying after them.
Left behind were the Supreme Kai and Kibito, standing helplessly in the wind.
"What… what are these Saiyans even thinking?!"
The Supreme Kai stomped his foot in frustration, but all he could do was follow.
Eastern Desert — Underground
Deep beneath the desert, inside a massive, eerie-looking spaceship.
The thin-faced wizard Babidi stared at a huge crystal ball, letting out a triumphant, shrill laugh.
"Hehehe… they're coming, they're coming!"
In the crystal ball, several streaks of light tore through the clouds at terrifying speed, flying straight toward his location.
"What a bunch of reckless fools!"
"Flying over so openly—do they really think I wouldn't notice?"
"Activate the spaceship's energy absorption system!"
Babidi laughed maniacally.
Boom—!!!
The entire underground spaceship shook violently.
Above it, the thick layers of rock were blasted open by overwhelming force.
Goku and Vegeta arrived almost at the same time.
They hovered above the gaping hole, looking down at the exposed entrance.
Babidi's voice echoed up from within.
"Welcome, powerful warriors of Earth."
"Since you're here, please—come inside and make yourselves comfortable."
"I've prepared a delightful little game for you."
A cold metal corridor stretched into the darkness below.
"Hmph. Playing tricks."
Vegeta descended first.
Goku, Gohan, and the others followed closely behind.
The Supreme Kai's expression remained tense as they entered.
"Everyone, be careful," he warned in a low voice.
They soon arrived at a wide, circular arena.
"Welcome to the first level."
Babidi's voice echoed through speakers embedded throughout the chamber.
"To meet me, you must first pass the test of my strongest warriors."
"Now, allow me to introduce the first one!"
As his voice fell—
Rumble…
The metal gate ahead slowly rose.
An alien with tentacles, clad in battle armor and sporting a bizarre appearance, strode out arrogantly.
"Are these the ones, Lord Babidi?"
Pui Pui twisted his neck, producing a crisp crack, and looked over Goku and the others with blatant disdain.
"They look so weak."
The Supreme Kai immediately went on guard.
"Everyone, be careful!"
"Although Pui Pui is Babidi's weakest warrior, his strength far surpasses that of ordinary cosmic fighters! His home planet has ten times Earth's gravity—his body—"
He was cut off by Vegeta's impatient voice.
"Ten times gravity?"
Vegeta raised an eyebrow and scoffed.
He stepped forward, blocking everyone else.
"This trash is mine."
Losing to Goku at the World Martial Arts Tournament had left him with pent-up frustration.
This clown was perfect for venting it.
Vegeta crooked his finger at Pui Pui.
"Come on, trash. Let me see what you can do."
"What did you say?!"
Pui Pui exploded with rage.
A mere native from a low-level planet dared to look down on him?!
"Die!"
Pui Pui roared, his body blurring into an afterimage as he charged Vegeta.
Too slow.
It looked like a child playing pretend.
Just as Pui Pui's fist was about to hit Vegeta's face—
Vegeta moved.
He shifted his body ever so slightly, casually dodging the punch.
Immediately after, Pui Pui launched a rapid barrage of kicks, wind howling with each strike.
But Vegeta moved as if strolling through a park, evading every attack with minimal motion and perfect precision.
"Y-you only know how to dodge!"
Pui Pui screamed after unleashing everything he had—without even touching Vegeta's clothes.
"Dodge?"
Vegeta finally spoke, his tone dripping with contempt.
"I just think your movements are too slow."
"Letting an attack like yours hit me would be an insult to myself."
"You're asking for death!"
Pui Pui completely lost control. He gathered energy in his hands and fired a purple energy blast at Vegeta.
Vegeta finally raised a hand.
Slap.
He knocked the blast aside like swatting a fly.
It smashed into the nearby wall with a loud explosion.
Inside the control room, Babidi watched through the crystal ball, laughing gleefully.
"Had enough fun, Saiyan Prince?"
"Show me your true power! Don't disappoint me!"
"Otherwise, I'll detonate this ship and bury you all along with this planet!"
Hearing Babidi's provocation, Vegeta's eyes turned ice-cold.
"Fine."
"Since you're all so eager to experience despair…"
"I'll grant your wish."
Boom—!!!
A terrifying aura erupted from Vegeta's body!
Blinding golden light flooded the entire arena!
The reinforced metal floor cracked inch by inch under the pressure!
"Ahhh—!"
Vegeta roared upward.
His black hair stood on end, transforming into brilliant gold.
Super Saiyan!
"T-this is…!"
Pui Pui's eyes widened in horror, all arrogance vanishing instantly.
"This is the power of a Saiyan."
Vegeta hovered in midair, looking down at him.
"Now pay the price for your ignorance."
Slowly, he raised one hand, index and middle fingers together.
"Die."
Whoosh!
A small yet extremely condensed golden energy beam shot from his fingertips.
Pui Pui didn't even have time to scream.
His body was pierced instantly.
At the exact moment Vegeta's attack ended—
The pipe-like conduits lining the walls suddenly glowed bright red.
Energy surged violently through them, flowing toward the deepest part of the ship.
Control Room
On the display showing the energy required for Majin Buu's resurrection, the needle jumped sharply upward.
"Hahahaha! Yes! That's it! That's it!"
Babidi stared at the soaring numbers, shrieking in ecstatic delight.
"Wonderful! This energy is absolutely perfect!"
"Keep going! Keep fighting!"
"Offer everything you have to our great Majin Buu!"
