Eugene crossed the garden quickly, but immediately slowed his pace to a relaxed one when he arrived at the outside corridor. He put his hands inside his coat pocket and nonchalantly looked at the winter shrubs, as if he was truly just walking around for fresh air.
Not even two minutes later, he felt his phone vibrating. Taking a deep breath and clearing his throat, Eugene took the call. "Yes, baby?"
[Gin, w-where are you?] the alpha sounded a bit agitated. [Sophie said you're taking a walk for fresh air, but I can't—]
"I'm near the garden, Art," Eugene replied quickly. "I'm coming back now, but you can go through the west corridor if you want to meet me halfway."
[West corridor? I'm in a west corridor—wait]
And just like that, Eugene could see the man popping from the T-junction not far in front of him. The brown eyes widened, and the big bear in a...duke or whatever outfit rushed to Eugene immediately. A pair of big hands enveloped Eugene's cheeks, sending a wave of warmth.
