It seemed like even Samantha's presence couldn't get rid of the pressure from meeting someone new for the first time.
One person was doable--just like when she met Arthur and Samantha--but three other strangers, in addition to Aunt Ashley, were too much. In the end, she had to be carried by her Daddy before entering the living room.
Needless to say, it was a little bit awkward.
Maybe not just a little bit, even.
For the first time in a long while, Eugene felt like a coward. He actually scooted closer to Arthur's side as he followed the cousins into the cozy living room. If Arthur weren't carrying their daughter--and if he wasn't feeling too embarrassed already--Eugene would have been holding the alpha's hand tightly as if they were in a haunted house.
And he wasn't even scared of ghosts.
