Chapter 583: Akainu Descends on Titan!

"Worororo!"

Kaido hoisted his bent iron club and charged straight into the purple-black light waves. With every step, the ground caved in. Purple light sliced through his scales; black blades grazed his shoulders. He didn't dodge. He didn't even bother to look.

Tony watched, his scalp tingling. "Is this guy just a lunatic, or was he literally born to take a beating?"

"Perhaps both," Thor replied grimly.

High above, the floating fortress was collapsing. Golden Lion Shiki stood at the highest peak. The old-era legend who had once vied for supremacy with Roger let his golden hair whip wildly in the gale. His crimson eyes radiated an extreme arrogance that viewed all creation as ants.

He grinned as he watched Kaido charge.

"The watchdog dragon is going all out. If I just stand here and watch, that brat Blake will laugh me to death!"

Shiki's crimson Mangekyo Sharingan spun furiously. "Ame-no-Ohabari!"

Gravity inverted. High above New York, the shattered remnants of the Dark Aster, torn hull plating, Chitauri fighter wreckage, and collapsed steel building structures were all forcibly yanked into the sky. Tens of thousands of tons of scrap metal crushed together, the screeching of twisting metal drowning out the sirens.

The debris was compressed into a pitch-black, high-density meteorite, its surface still wreathed in the burning flames of the Dark Aster's hull.

Shiki pushed both hands down. "Get off that throne!"

The meteorite plummeted. The entire sky darkened.

Hela finally looked up. She glanced at the meteorite, then at the rapidly approaching Kaido. "Beast. A beast to the end."

She raised her right hand, still gripping the Power Stone. Hundreds of black blades flared open behind her. Purple light flooded the blades, and with a single swing, a purple-black wave of sword aura surged into the heavens.

The compressed steel meteorite Shiki had created split right down the middle, cleaved in two. The twin halves crashed down on either side of the throne, plowing two deep trenches through the New York streets.

Shiki's pupils constricted. The woman was undeniably tough. But she had swung her sword, and her right hand had swung wide, leaving her core exposed. For a normal person, that opening meant nothing.

For Kaido, it was all he needed.

Kaido shattered the pavement, bursting through the final layer of purple light. Black and red Conqueror's lightning coiled tightly around his iron club, enveloped in a golden aura.

"Thunder Bagua!"

The iron club slammed solidly into the side of Hela's face. The sound of fracturing bone echoed. Hela's head whipped to the side, and she was sent flying horizontally, taking the armrest of the throne with her. The purple-black throne shattered on one side, its death spikes erupting outward.

Thor stared blankly. He knew Kaido was strong, but he hadn't expected this foreign monster to actually send a Power Stone-wielding Hela flying.

Kaido didn't stop. He charged after her trajectory. "Playing at being a king! I've seen more lunatics who know how to sit on a throne than you!"

Hela stabilized herself in mid-air. The right side of her face was caved in, black blood leaking from her mouth. Her right arm was the real problem. The purple light of the Power Stone had begun to backlash. She had forcibly cleaved a meteorite and tanked Kaido's strike head-on, disrupting her physical balance.

Purple veins burst one after another along her right arm, spraying black blood and purple light. Hela's expression finally changed. It wasn't fear. It was pure rage.

"You dare wound me?"

Kaido rushed up to her, hoisting his iron club again. "I dare to kill you too!"

Shiki laughed uproariously from the sky. "Jihahahaha! Well said!"

With a wave of his hands, the two halves of the steel meteorite that had been cleaved apart didn't hit the ground. Instead, they rose again from the left and right, like two converging iron mountains, slamming shut toward Hela.

Ebony Maw watched the scene, choosing not to utter anything about 'lesser lifeforms' this time. He hated to admit it, but these two pirates from an unfamiliar world had indeed used the most barbaric methods to tear through Hela's suppression.

Ronan struggled to his feet, his eyes full of greed and hatred. The Power Stone was his—or at least, he believed it was. "Hela!" He swung his war hammer wildly, discharging all the residual purple light left within it.

A three-pronged siege. Kaido smashing from the front, Shiki crushing from the sides, Ronan backstabbing from behind.

Hela roared, purple-black divine power detonating outward from her body. Kaido's chest cracked under the shockwave, yet he still pressed his iron club downward. Shiki's iron mountains had large chunks blown out by the purple light, yet they continued to close. Ronan's shockwave slammed into Hela's back, forcing her to stumble a step forward.

That single step gave Loki his opening.

He watched Hela's right arm burst, watched the purple light begin to spiral out of control, and his insane idea crystallized. If he didn't sever the light bridge now, both New York and Asgard were doomed.

Loki looked down at the Tesseract in his arms. "I must be out of my mind."

He bit his tongue and spat blood onto the cube's cracks. The blue light flared wildly. Loki forced all of his divine power into it, triggering the golden mark Frigga had left behind.

"Break!"

The Tesseract let out an ear-piercing shriek. The blue-purple light bridge connecting the Space Stone and the Power Stone began to warp.

Hela snapped her head back. "Loki!"

Loki's mouth was full of blood, and he offered a terribly strained smile. "Don't call me that. We're not close enough to be on a first-name basis."

The blue light and purple light clashed head-on. The sky over New York tore open like a piece of shredded cloth, spawning dozens of massive space-time rifts. In some rifts, a burning Asgard flashed by. In others, the Dark Aster plummeted toward Xandar. One rift revealed an unfamiliar ocean.

And from one rift, a man dripping with magma tumbled out.

The red wasteland of Titan cracked open. Sakazuki crashed out of the twisted space-time turbulence. He half-knelt, pressing his palm into the cracked red soil. Magma seeped through his fingers, burning the rock beneath him into a dark crimson.

"This isn't New York." Sakazuki looked up, his face extremely grim. He despised this loss of control. He despised the chaotic spatial rules of this dungeon even more.

In the distance, two men hid behind a ruined wall. Tony Stark, wearing his damaged gold-and-red armor, whose brilliant mind would easily command a bounty of 500 million Beri under the World Government. Beside him was Stephen Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme candidate of Earth, whose bizarre methods couldn't be measured by standard combat metrics.

Tony looked at the magma-spewing man and his voice crackled through the damaged armor. "Well. I take back what I said about today not getting any worse."

Doctor Strange already had a spell primed. He didn't attack recklessly. The aura surrounding this man was far too dangerous. It wasn't alien tech. It wasn't magic. It was another kind of pure, brute-force destructive power.

Sakazuki saw them too. He gave them a single glance and lost interest. Neither looked like a stone bearer, nor did they look like his mission targets. "Earthlings?"

Tony raised both hands. "Technically, yes. But if you're looking for directions, I suggest you declare which side you're on first."

Sakazuki stood up straight. His Justice coat had long been destroyed in the spatial turbulence, leaving only half of it draped over his shoulder. His Asauchi was still at his waist. The Zanpakuto, forged from his dungeon rewards, had already been fed with his Mag-Mag Fruit and Haki to become a blade of absolute slaughter.

"I am a Marine. Anyone who stands in my way will be treated as an enemy."

Tony stayed silent for a second. "Doesn't sound very friendly."
