Chapter 91: Profane Birth
With Condemnation dead and consumed, Dagon could finally do what it desired most — escape from this nightmare and break the will of the Nightmare Spell itself, succeeding in its mission to devour the world and open the gates of the void.
However, it suddenly noticed that not all beings had died from its last attack...
One powerful existence had survived its wrath.
Alien x had endured the supernova without flinching. Its dark, star-filled body withstood the cataclysmic explosion as if it were nothing more than a passing gust of wind. It stood motionless in the empty space, exactly as it had before Earth was destroyed.
Then, with overwhelming momentum, Alien x turned its attention toward Dagon. The two gods locked eyes for a long, silent moment, beholding each other's existence.
Two different paths of reaching godhood, one through the path of ascension, the path of desire and another through the path of profanity, the path of the void.
Without any warning, Alien x shot forward at an unimaginable speed and slammed head-first into the colossal Unholy Terror. The impact was world-shattering, enough to send shockwaves across the galaxy.
Alien x unleashed a relentless barrage of devastating punches, each strike carrying the force capable of collapsing entire planets and destroying entire realms. It dragged Dagon across the ruined universe, smashing the profane deity through multiple suns, leaving blazing trails of stellar fire and plasma in their wake. Divine essence radiated from Alien X's fists — pure white and pristine — capable of erasing Sacred beings with a single blow.
Dagon, despite being a profane deity of the void, recognized the entity before it.
A Celestialsapien, a being from a race who existed long before the flames of desire gave birth to the seven primordial gods.
The Unholy Terror tried to erode Alien x's existence with its profane will, but it failed. The concept of Infinity that formed Alien x's core was simply too vast, too absolute, and too grand for the Unholy Terror to overcome, no matter how many times it changed and transformed. Dagon's corruption could not take root, no matter how hard it tried.
Their wills clashed violently — Divine will against Unholy will, changing the world around them and embodying it.
Divine will was fundamentally different from supreme will, so instead of simply bending the world to their desires, the two gods embodied the world, becoming one with it.
In this case, it was simply a contest of who could become the world first and alien x was proving to the more capable god.
For the first time since its descent, Dagon was forced to take damage. Cracks formed across its grotesque, squid-like body as Alien X's relentless assault pushed it further back across the vast universe.
The fight grew even more ferocious when dagon assumed different forms to battle alien x.
It first took on a humanoid form, abandoning its gigantic tendrils and engaged in a furious melee battle with the divine Titan, managing to spill divine ichor from alien x body.
then it became formless, transforming into whatever helped it gain advantage, wrapping around alien x and attempting to slither into its head like a terrifying parasite.
But when that failed, it spilt itself into thousands of pieces, trying to overwhelm alien x with sheer quantity.
In response to this, Alien x created a vast black hole in its hand, compressing space itself and used it to deliver a crushing punch directly into Dagon's core, causing the profane deity to be sucked into the impact.
Dagon retaliated by creating a black hole of its own, causing the two singularities to collide and collapse into each other in a violent explosion of gravitational force, damaging the fabric of the universe.
Using the brief moment gained from the clash, Dagon opened a wormhole through space, attempting to retreat but Alien X was relentless. The Divine Titan simply dove straight into the wormhole, chasing after Dagon throughout the vast universe.
Both beings ascended beyond physical space and time, running past the ever expanding universe And entering a state of void that existed within the infinite realm.
Their battle tore through the fabric of reality itself, forcing the Nightmare Spell to intervene and expend a massive amount of its energy just to stop the nightmare from collapsing. Many Awakened and Ascended in their second and third nightmares noticed strange distortions in the fabric of their own nightmares as the Spell struggled to contain these two harrowing beings.
Then, Dagon, realizing it could not overwhelm Alien X through raw power in this realm, chose another path.
It elevated its consciousness into the Plane of Fate— that terrifying realm existing beyond every creature in existence, including the Primordial Gods themselves.
Seeing this, Alien X followed without hesitation, elevating its own consciousness as well.
In that higher plane, Alien X witnessed everything.
The grand tapestry of fate stretched endlessly, encompassing the past, the present, and the future. Every event, every being and every action was documented in this cosmic library. Everything was written, as if fate itself was a tyrant holding all of existence at gunpoint, forcing them to abide by a singular outcome and nothing else...
Alien X saw the Seven Primordial Gods battling against the Void.
It saw the overwhelming power of Shadow God, who brought death to the void.
It saw the cruelty of War Goddess, who gave life meaning in the chaotic void.
It saw the insidious influence of Heart God, who brought emotions into the void and its inhabitants.
It saw the darkness of the Storm God, who brought space into the realm of non-existence and forced order upon the void.
It saw the brilliance of Sun God, who brought light and passion to the void and its angels.
It saw the savagery of Beast Goddess, who bled into the void and hunted within it, turning the chaotic realm into a hunting ground.
And lastly, it saw the power of the Nightmare God, lulling the inhabitants of the void into blissful dreams.
It saw the betrayal of the God of Nightmares, his corruption and his suffering as he was caged by existence inside the void, with his name being forgotten by the world.
It saw the birth and separation of the Seven Daemons, the sacred pillars of reality.
It saw the lives of countless men and women — both mortal and divine, both great and feeble.
It witnessed the hatred of nine mere mortals that grew vast enough to cause the downfall of the world, bringing doom to both the living and the dead.
It saw the harrowing Doom War and how it consumed everything in existence, leaving no place untouched
It saw glimpses of the Forgotten God escaping the Void and being lulled into nightmare by a nebulous daemon.
And it saw more... Far more. So much more that alien x, in all of its divine glory wanted to rip its head apart.
It saw five Divine Realms fall one by one, collapsing because of their pride and the unfairness of the world around them.
Until finally, alien x reached the present, witnessing itself fighting Dagon, and then saw itself being witnessed by itself in the great tapestry of fate — an endless cycle that knew no beginning and no end.
Alien x saw the cruelty of fate, and its cruel rule.
It saw further, into the future. A future that alien x, and the beings that made up alien x, were not supposed to exist in.
It saw a white tower made of stone falling. It saw snow falling upon a crimson jungle, then disappearing in a hell of white flame. It saw a vast shadow rising from the surface of bones and a pristine white angel descending from the White Abyss to extinguish a storm of steel and drain a river of blood… only for them to kill each other.
It saw the loneliness of the angel, and the madness that followed as she built a throne born of blood and suffering, eventually losing what made her pure.
It saw a harrowing idea consume humanity, using it to fuel its apotheosis.
The shadow and the white angel fell, in the end…
And the plague of ideas became a god, devouring everything until the Forgotten One awoke from his slumber to meet it personally...
But before Alien X could see any further, Dagon suddenly extended its consciousness over the strands of fate that showed the birth of the Daemons — the children of the Forgotten God.
It did not draw upon them or change them, for it was not powerful enough to do so.
Instead, it imprinted their images from the moment of their creation onto its being.
Then, using the authority of a Tyrant, Dagon created six creatures carrying its corruption and profanity.
Six cursed creatures.
And those creatures were imprinted with the imprints of the Seven Daemons.
The first to be born was a tall figure whose shape and body were hidden by a dark tattered mantle. Only its face — or rather, a fearsome demon mask with ferocious fangs and a crown of three twisting horns — was visible, concealing its gender, identity, and truth.
That was Weaver, the Daemon of Fate.
As it appeared, Alien x suddenly trembled… feeling fear for the first time since its existence. Not of the creature itself, but fear of the unknown. Because despite of its divine mind and powers, alien x could not see behind that fearsome mask.
The second figure was surrounded by a swirling hurricane of light and darkness. A vague and graceful silhouette towered above the world. One could not quite tell where the light ended and where its numinous body began… perhaps it had no body at all, and was instead made of pure radiance and pure darkness.
It felt almost human-like, but also inexplicably alien. The shapes and contours were both correct and wrong… both familiar and strange… both pleasing and revolting.
And beautiful… so incredibly beautiful.
That was Hope, the Daemon of Desire.
And as it appeared, alien x desire suddenly grew much more... So much more...
The third figure was not a creature made of light or darkness, instead, it manifested itself as a whisper.
A dreadful whisper, promising to deliver harrowing and agonizing truths from the void. secrets that no one should ever behold...
This time, Alien x felt true, primal fear...
That was Ariel, the Daemon of Dread.
The fourth figure was not a full being either. It was a reflection of the world manifested through sheer will, constantly changing, growing and becoming something else — reflecting everyone and their deepest imagination upon itself. An imagination so vast it could encompass the world itself.
That was Mirage, the Daemon of Imagination.
Alien x felt its own imagination stir violently in response to this eerie daemon... And as it did, alien x felt the loneliness within this being.
The fifth figure was eerily human, unlike the rest, making her even more terrifying. The Daemon appeared in two contrasting visions as if her vision of the world was the true nature of the world, and yet... Despite this madness, she carried an aura of power and inevitability. She was marked by eyes as blue as the warm summer sky in one vision, and eyes as blue as cold winter ice in the other.
That was rime, the Daemon of Repose
The final figure was a pale being shrouded in True darkness, moving across the depths of space with calamitous killing intent. The darkness was boundless and unfathomable, containing infinite choices that somehow defied the purpose of fate. All one could see were two terrible wings with black feathers. These wings spread, devouring the sky and drowning the world in howling mist.
That was Nether, the Daemon of the Underworld.
Alien X was wary of this being, but…
Wasn't there supposed to be a seventh Daemon?
Neither Dagon nor Alien X dwelled on that fact for long, as the six terrifying Daemons — cursed Titans born from an Unholy Terror — surrounded Alien X, leaving no room for escape.
