To speed things up, he had to scoop a few ladles of white porridge into a milk pan for quick heating, while taking out two plastic boxes from the fridge and placing them on the counter, opening the lids.
The three of them simultaneously tip-toed to look inside through the window.
First up were a variety of dense seafood soaking in a soy-colored broth, a layer of red oil faintly floating on top. You could see many segments of green and red chili peppers scattered among the seafood, with white sesame sprinkled on the surface, looking quite appetizing.
