Rafael's POV
"What kind of bullshit question is that? The only reason I'm still patient enough not to kill you is that you're the only one who can give me answers."
Dimitri's jaw tightened, and for the first time, I saw genuine discomfort on his face.
"Can't you just settle for exposing the human trafficking case for now?" he said quietly. "Rafael, for the sake of what matters most to you right now, let the past stay buried."
I smirked coldly.
"Then let chaos begin. Once everything crumbles, I will find the truth myself."
We held each other's gaze like we were silently ordering the other to back down first.
Somehow, I won.
He gestured for his men to release me before sitting back down on the sofa.
"I warned you already. So brace yourself." His voice hardened. "Sit down. Let's talk like gentlemen."
