"Let's go, Ryu"
Bell said as he walked into the building with Ryu still holding his arm.
The large doors were left open, as a way to say "everyone was welcome". But unlike the golden dragon guild, there was no large hallways, instead it was small with tables and chairs covering most of the space, giving it an impression of a bar. It might as well be a bar as Bell saw most of the seats occupied by adventurers who shared drinks, there were even two men at the corner fighting and everyone was just cheering for the one who's not getting his ass kicked.
Even though it was the opposite of what he had expected, there was one thing Bell liked; it was the fact that nobody looked at him. In fact, everybody minded their business.
At the right side of the guild... Or should he call it a bar?. A lady stood behind the corner.
"That must be the receptionist" Bell whispered as he walked towards her with Ryu behind him.
As soon as the receptionist saw Bell approaching her, she quickly stood straight and arranged her uniform which was a simple white shirt and black miniskirt, it looked more like a waiter outfit.
"Welcome sir. How may I help you?"
The girl voice was firm but smoothing in some way. The first thing that Bell noticed was the bunny ears that stood on her head, her short yellow hair covered the side of her head so it was impossible for him to tell if it was real.
Another thing Bell had noticed was the shackle on her neck, it had a little piece of chain attached to it at the front. But she didn't look too bother by it.
"I'm here to apply"
Her bright blue eyes looked at him for about a spilt second before she averted her gaze. She slowly bent down and brought some kind of device and placed it on the table. Her uniform looked like it was made to be tight as Bell watched her pulling down the hem of her skirt and trying hard not to move too much.
The device looked like some kind of glowing orb that is held up by three iron handle with a piece of paper beneath it.
"Please, gently place your hand on orb" she asked as she pushed the device closer to him.
Bell did as he was told, the machine glowed brighter then scribbles slowly appeared on the paper and the orb went dark. The receptionist pulled out the paper and replaced it with another one then Bell lead Ryu to the machine and placed her hand on it. It glowed the same way it did with it and scribbles appeared on the paper, the receptionist took it and closely observe it.
She took a few seconds of reading before giving it to Bell, he received it and looked at it.

It was exactly how it was written in the system, this mean there was no way he could hide the system if it shows itself again. Then he noticed something, his skills wasn't written.
_i guess I shouldn't be worried, at least not now_ He looked up and the receptionist and asked. "Is that all?"
"I just need to see your adventurer card then it's done"
"I don't have one. How can I get it?"
"Well, there is something you can do" she bent down, probably looking for something. She stood up again, adjusting her skirt before handed an envelope to Bell. "Before becoming an adventurer, you'll have to pass an exam"
"So, what's this for?" Bell asked as he received the envelope.
"Ask for sir Frederick at the wild cat guild, give him the letter and he'll do the rest. But, I'll have to advice you to make sure your prepared"
"Thanks" Bell replied and Ryu bowed her head.
"No problem, and if you're looking for an inn to stay. We do offer the cheapest rooms in town"
_That's a good business strategy_ Bell thought. He has been traveling for two days straight and hasn't had time to rest since he came to the capital and finding a cheap inn will be a pain. "How much?"
The receptionist beamed up. "Just five thousand hils for a week"
""Five thousand??"" Bell was surprised to hear Ryu yell. _at least, she knows how expensive things are_
"Uh...huh..." She stammered astonished by their reaction. "You don't have to pay all at once. You can pay any amount you have now and you pay the rest after you pass the exam"
Bell calmed down and so did Ryu, "okay, we'll take it."
"Thank you for your cooperation" she replied with a slight bow, then reached out to a key hanging on the wall behind her. "Your room is the fourth one to the right"
After that, Bel held his sister's hand and led her upstairs. That was when he noticed some adventurers glancing at him, he pretended not to notice as he disappeared from their sights.

The room was spacious, it had a bed big enough for Bell and Ryu to sleep on, the door seemed to be made with oak, and so was the walls. It also had two windows which made the room cooler than the inn at Drakenforge and a bathroom, which mean he didn't have to go to a bathhouse.
A bookshelf stood next to the window with a reading desk placed right beneath the window with a quill and some pieces of paper. Bell thought he could write a letter to his mother, it was the only way he could tell her to they are safe but he decided to rest and do it in the morning.
"It's really been a long day" Bell sighed as he kept the bag right behind the door, then locked it.
"Big brother, I'm really tired" Ryu said as Bell helped to the bed. "I can't walk anymore"
"Don't worry, we won't be going anywhere tomorrow." Bell thought for a while before he realised the envelope the receptionist had given to him. "I still have to take this to Sir Fredrick thought but I guess it could wait. You can rest up tomorrow while I handle everything"
"No" Ryu shook her head. "I'm not that tired, i can still walk"
"You shouldn't push yourself, I can handle myself." Bell dropped the envelope on the table as he tries to change the subject. "I so sweaty. Ryu, stand up so I can take off your clothes. Then I'll take a bath after you"
"Hmm" Ryu nodded and stood up, as her brother untie the lace at the back of her gown then led her into the bathroom before closing the door.
If there was one thing he knows well, is that Ryu can take care of herself. He reached out to his bag and checked the food which the old man had bought for them, which was mostly bread but they had all dried up.
"I guess we're sleeping hungry tonight."
